Lin's getting a lot more respect from Laker fans and writers. Writers are saying that basically Lin was disrespected in Houston, used "wrong", and not allowed to play to his strengths. Bad trade, but its good that Lin is gone.

Kind of like how everyone is very optimistic about Ariza around here.

Other than the optimism part, the situations are nothing alike.

Damn.... Dude... People who seek superiority in virtual world often time have a pretty pathetic real life... Especially the way you do it/act here... really worry me. I hope all is good and real life is treating you well. Peace...

They're exactly alike. A new role player who the team's fans are assuming will be at least as good as the best he's ever played.

    what?

Not sure why you're bringing up Asik he's a very good center who got displaced by DWIGHT HOWARD.

So? Lin knows how to play and filled in very effectively when Harden was out, he is not 'hot garbage' as you so eloquently put it, hes a decent/mediocre player who signed an inflated contract when it seemed he'd be able to put up flashy numbers as the number one option.

I'd gladly have him on the current roster at ~5m annually

Every signing fans hope they are as good as their best year (as long as they aren't in the clear twighlight of their respective careers). I get you on that part, but I don't know how you got an Ariza connection from a comment about Lin. They share almost nothing in common basketball/career wise. Just seemed like an unprovoked jab at the state of the off season by leveling homer lakers comments about how good Lin will be when he has free-reign with the signing and expectations for Ariza.

I agree, his biggest flaws were turnovers and jumping in the air and throwing the ball to the other team. Hopefully he will improve on those things on his new team. But enough is enough, he's a Lakers now and lets close this thread.:)

my only contention is that you said that Lin was hot trash and that just isn't true, he's a mediocre player with flaws and doesnt play for the rockets anymore

You're the one that keeps bringing up Asik, obviously he is a far superior asset
