This is happening now. Unreal.....
So two police officers couldn't shoot a guy in the leg, take the weapon away from him, n put him in jail. They had to kill him? Wow, n of course it's justified
You don't shoot people in the leg on purpose, if you shoot, you shoot to kill. TV shows and movies aren't reality.
Ok man u're a human being, cop is a human being after all, killing some1 should be very last resort. But i guess u're right, kill first ask questions later.
It doesn't work that way, if they want to go non-lethal then they should use a tazer. Shooting a walking person in the leg is much more difficult and dangerous for the cop than it is to shoot him in the chest.
Do these guys carry Tasers? How do 2 cops feel threatened by 1 guy with a knife enough to shoot and kill him? This is insane...... But wait.....lets see if he stole the knife first. Maybe he drank a 40oz the night before.....or maybe he called the cop a pig.......
The idiot brought a knife to a gunfight, if he wanted to not die, he'd have cooperated with the people with guns. Also, you do realize that shooting someone in the leg can easily be fatal right? Or how about this, they shoot at his leg, miss, and he knifes one of them....what then? When you shoot, you shoot to kill or you don't shoot to begin with.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>People asking also, why not tase him? Almost all STLPD on scene, though, don't have tasers. A few cops confirmed to me not standard issue</p>— Christopher Hayes (@chrislhayes) <a href="https://twitter.com/chrislhayes/statuses/501818456728436737">August 19, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
So u're telling me two cops on the scene had no other option, they had to kill the guy? "idiot brought a knife to a gunfight", wonder if you would say the same, if it was ur family member. People are so heartless, its disgusting
Are they unfamiliar with non lethal weapons in Missouri. No pepper spray? No taser? Rubber bullets? If lethal force is necessary, then use it not to disable but to kill. That is basic combat firearms training. This sounds like a perfect incident for non lethal weapons, but we may not have correct details. The first reports of the Brown incident were completely inaccurate though non lethal force seemed appropriate there too.
Liberalism is a gotdamned disease. I can't grasp it and I truly feel sorry for those of you who don't get it. If you don't meet deadly force with deadly force, you must not value your own life very much.
I would absolutely say the same if a family member of mine was robbing a store with a knife and then lunged at cops, or anyone with guns drawn.....that's just about the least intelligent thing that anyone can do. When you try to attack someone who has a gun drawn on you, then you are essentially asking them to kill you.
The dude had a freaking knife. WTH world are you living in. How many people try to shank cops and live?
Remii, you wouldn't make a good cop. You're clearly incompetent with that mindset. And you'd get yourself killed. You're better off in your cubicle.
Would you leave political ideology out of this? I am working with many right wing conservatives (military) as we speak that are disgusted by what they are witnessing. My father (Retired USAF SF) is also sickened by what is happening. Why do you insist on bringing politics into this? This is not a right vs left issue..... Grow the hell up....
u dont have to touch n handcuff a smelly citizen, just shoot him, n of course its all justified under the court of law
