Is this how Doc Rocket and Pop and other insiders of the past started? They had to have been chastised when they dropped their first inside info here.
cyber is not a fraud. He just makes it seem like he's the most connected guy out there. To say definitively that no trade will happen seems silly esp since a bunch of guys can't even be traded yet.
Lets clear up a few misconceptions here: cyberx said he hasn't heard anything about a trade, and that he expects the roster (as constructed) to be what we field against LA on opening night. He did not say there will not be a trade. plowman is claiming that we will hear something within the next 10 days, not that this is when the trade will happen.
Capela - August 23rd Johnson - August 23rd Papanikolaou - September 8th Gee - September 15th Hopson - September 15th
Twist: Plowman and CyberX are actually Clutch trying to keep the traffic high after losing all the LOF. Makes you think, but that won't stop me from hitting the refresh button though out the day!
Most likely a rhetorical question. Even so, the answer is most certainly not. The board was a unique community back then.(perhaps a reflection of the way things used to be in general) The internet was in it's infancy. It was like a small town here with all the amenities. While there have been so many benefits, technological evolution has in many ways equaled societal devolution. Long gone are the days when we knew all our neighbors and folks walked around "open". Now, people are buried in devices 24-7, when not holed up inside. Whereas there used to be goodwill...a positive/warm/open spiritual vibe for the most part. The jaded cynicism that is so pervasive now is almost overwhelming with many people "closed". In a time of instant gratification, with so much info at one's fingertips, the general acceptance has disappeared. Prove it first...or you're full of it...The value of face to face human relationships has diminished in the eyes of many....and with it we've lost much.
So basically we're getting Dragic? Just kidding. I just wanted people to know that those with access to insider info that share that info look crazy at first ... until it happens
Good lord, this is so freakin' true. I've lost count of how many conversations over the years I've had with my two kids, one now out of college and doing great, the other fixing to leave home and go off to school (empty nest for the win!), saying exactly what you posted. Growing up in Houston, I thought nothing of driving across town to visit a friend. Now? "We don't have to get together, Dad. We see each other online." I hate it. Just hate it. Little to no real human interaction. Sure, I do much the same thing here, but this is it. This is all I do in the way of "social media." If I want to talk to a friend I either pick up a phone and call, or better yet, go see him, or invite him over. As for here, I started lurking the spring before the Francis trade. Yes, it was vastly different than it is today, and in a good way.
Correct me if I am wrong, but in theory regarding Bledsoe and his RFA status, he doesn't have to officially TAKE the qualifying offer until OCTOBER 1st, right? So, it is possible this Bledsoe/Dragic thing could play out for a while.
