Console Wars Thread! PS4 vs. Xbox One vs. Wii U Fight!

My roommate is a pretty big halo fan (I personally haven't players in about 4 years) he has told me a few times that after playing the destiny beta a bunch on my ps4 that he has soured on halo for whatever reason when he plays it now.

So whatever that is worth that is his opinion.

 

The XBone I bought my GF has been collecting dust for 6 months. She plays the 3DS XL that I got for myself.

 

Clearly she has good taste. 3DS's library is far superior to XB1 & PS4 combined right now.

Can't wait for Monster Hunter 4.

 

Which console makes my dick bigger and lets me hook up with Kate Upton? The vibe of this thread seems like if I buy a PS4 all that will happen for me.

I would say Mary Tyler Moore circa the Dick van Dyke show era is true female perfection, but I fear that might falsely date me (seeing as how I'm only 28).

 

I agree with you 100%..... Bottom line is, you are right..... Everything you said was from a non biased state where you favor neither party. And you are right...... BUT! I think you may have misread my intentions and that could potentially be my fault... Let me explain.....


I too have enjoyed everything from Super Mario Bro's to Super Mario 64.... Oh that wonderful Nintendo 64... Goldeneye, Jet Force Gemini, Kobe Bryant Courtside...... I have also experienced the wonders of PC gaming... Last game I played on PC was Bioshock Infinite and it was fantastic. I do have a high end PC and I do take advantage of its capabilities....Before that I played battlefield and even a little gem known as Black and White..... I played Half Life 2 after Halo and was quickly a fan of that franchise. I never defined Bioshock as Halo or not Halo.... I never defined Beyond Good and Evil as Halo or not Halo..... I don't base my ranking of games as Halo on top of the scale.. I apologize if it seems that way....

However, I do firmly believe that Halo is the closest a franchise has been to defining a console's face since Mario and Sonic...... That's not a mediocre franchise, that's the face of a console. Nintendo still profits from it and so will Xbox. And they should! HALO is fun! Mario is fun! Zelda is fun! Uncharted is fun! The Last of Us is depressing! but fun!.....


So why make it about Halo in this Xbox One vs PS4 debate/war? Because you and I both know Halo is what kept the Xbox alive.... And its what will continue to inject life into Xbox and Xbox Live subscription's... Its also what will hurt PS4..... MCC is nothing like the reboot of TLOU.... It does not have the same ending because most will buy MCC to relive the saga and once again enjoy the Haloverse of online 4 vs 4 team slayer...... Unpredictable, challenging and most of all fun.....

I do think Xbox One has a brighter future because of Halo, maybe I'm wrong... Maybe I'm an Xbox fanboy or maybe I just prefer Xbox but at no point will I rage over PS4 sales being higher.... Its not worth it... In the end these are just consoles..... Even thou I do prefer one over the other...

 

It's ironic, because as a PC customer and an Xbox One customer I find myself making the same argument that people with macs have made year after year. I don't care that it's a bit more expensive, I don't care about the content on the other side, I found something I like and I choose to stick with it. It just works (for me). I don't think that makes me a fanboy, in the same way I don't think what you said makes you one either. It's just really funny to come in here and see the amount of rage on both sides.

 

Thank You! Destiny will suck... Forza will always be better than GT or Drive Club.... The Last Of Us is a PS3 port... And people are still waiting for something to do on PS4 and its $hitty interface...

Forza Horizon, Sunset Overdrive, MCC, Titanfall these are all games that are out or are about to be out for Xbox One..... A lot of quality titles to keep someone busy through out the Holidays 2014... Cant say that for PS4... Unless you love to see Ellie suffer.... Over and over and over again...

 

Same here, I'm a PC owner and I swear by it.... Yet I have an IPhone because I like it....I think its a great phone and it fits my needs... I don't feel like I'm betraying windows because Apple..... If PS4 wouldn't suck I would get that too...... But there is a better product out there...

Got Diablo 3 last night. I hadn't played it on the PC. It's has been a lot of fun so far.

 

While I know you guys are having fun trolling the rest of us, I'm curious if perhaps it gets a little boring coming up with those posts all the time. Have you guys ever considered switching "allegiances" from time to time when it comes to trolling? For example, it is hard to mention poor PS4 sales in Japan as a XBO fanboy troll, but maybe a WiiU fanboy troll could do so pretty effectively.

I guess we can stick with troll posts filled with "HALO" and "NO GAMES FOR PLAYSTATION!", but I thought maybe it would be nice to keep things fresh in this thread. Especially since we still have maybe 4-5 more years in this "console war" (if not more). I don't want to come back to this thread in 4 years and find out the same posts kept getting made over and over throughout the years.

Or maybe I do....that might actually make 2018 RC Cola lol, while he's reading this on his Facebook Oculus Rift...before being interrupted by an ad for Return to Farmville.

 

I didn't know about the other thread but I am sure that was interesting. Uh...they will be playing Halo because there is nothing else to play on Xbox...but you can make that argument for any big game release. Halo is great and all but not worth switching to Xbox for. There are enough FPS out there already. Plus one day you will wake up and realize that you are finally bored of Halo and not have anything else to play until a new Gears of War comes out. We have not said much negative about Xbox (except the obvious lack of games)...just good stuff about Playstation....that is the difference between the maturity level of Xbox and Playstation owners I guess...jk...really though....you just trash what you do not really know about because you won't try it. I get the whole "stick with what you know." I have a few friends with Xbox and we have fun playing each system. We were even praising Wii U in this thread...we were not here to bash Xbox...just defend Playstation from the people that want to hate it so much for no reason. The rental service is just an added bonus. You do not even have to own a console to use it. Also, PSN gives out free games each month. Some good, some bad but they are free with subscription. Anyway, while we play all PS exclusives, you can keep playing Halo over and over...Your one game to rule them all. If Halo were on PS4, I am sure you would find a way to bash it and say Xbox is still better even though your entire point is based on it. Honestly, the only game on Xbox that I wish we had on PS4 is Killer Instinct.

I really do not get why we all cannot just own whatever system we want to own and just let it be??
