PS4 is dooomed.

 

PS4 has sold over 10 million at this point, Xbox One is still at 5 I believe.

 

That seems to be the estimate people are throwing around. I don't think Microsoft will ever actually give hard numbers again until they can reach at least 75% of the PS4's sales, otherwise they're just shining a light on themselves about exactly how poorly they're doing by comparison.

 

Was really looking forward to Destiny, but after playing the Beta, I don't have any plans to buy the game.

WiiU is amazing for anyone on the fence. It is worth every penny, assuming you enjoy family friendly games. Only downside is Nintendo's tendency to take several years to drop prices on their good titles.

1.0 games are out and Destiny is the first "big" game being released this year
2.its on multiple platforms
3.Destiny is only selling well because people see the Bungie name and think it will be similar/good as a halo 2/3 game (lmao it wont)
4. When MCC and the new COD come out the Destiny population will be nothing lol

the game is chit and is only selling cuz there are no good games out till the end of the year, ps4 fanboys are bored and so are xbone fanboys..gotta play something

Both systems have pretty good line-ups....PS4 just has a little bit better exclusives.....even the chief of Xbox agrees that PS4 has some games that cannot be touched by Microsoft....This was a good move but Tomb Raider is no Uncharted and it is only temporary.

The reason why people are anticipating this title (Destiny) and making themselves believe it will be great is because of one and that's ONE reason only....

Bungie is behind it....



And why is that so important? Because they were behind this.......



People are expecting this.... All over again.....

Seclusion, wake up bro...... Destiny will not be another Halo...The reason the game is so awaited is because of Bungie...... Does that mean that it will be good? NO it does not.... These franchises only come once in a decade..... They aren't easy to replicate and especially without Microsoft's support..

I understand PS4 owners want it be a Halo killer... They want it to be as good if not better.... Because A. They hate Xbox and B. They can finally enjoy a quality Halo clone without the XBOX.....

343 Didn't get the Halo 4 multi right but they did a great job with the campaign and Halo Anniversary edition..... They are capable as much as Bungie is.......

PS4 has nothing except Ellie and her nasty infected self..... TLOU is the only thing to play on it and you don't even like it.....

a) Without Microsoft's support? Are you ****ing r****ded? Microsoft didn't develop any of those games, they gave Bungie financial support. Do you really think they need money at this point? They're aligned with the biggest publisher in video games.

b) I'm getting a Xbox anyway, I don't have an agenda one way or the other. Destiny is very fun, I know this because I've actually played it.

c) First off, 343 didn't even make Halo Anniversary. Saber Interactive did, 343's name is on the box because they're Microsoft's custodian for Halo. Secondly, all they did was add a layer of graphics to an existing game. Really ****ing difficult.

d) Infamous, Last of Us, Uncharted, The Order: 1886, God of War, Drive Club, Tearaway, Little Big Planet...I could go on.

Also its the other way around... Nothing on PS can touch Halo.... You can put all PS exclusives together and they still wont match Halo.... You will see come this November what people will be playing.... My point will be proven....

Fine... I will take that back.... What I meant to say was, even if you take the best titles on PS3/PS4 like Uncharted and TLOU and.......well I cant think of anything else that is worth mentioning on it.... But anyways, those titles are the best for that console..... Not the best period..... There are better games out there than those PS exclusives and I'm not just talking Xbox exclusives but third party as well.... Bioshock comes to mind as something that blows anything PS out of the water....

 

Salvy, my personal opinion is that you have completely warped your mind when it comes to console wars/Halo/my toy is better than yours. I ask you this simply question: What is the ultimate goal of playing videogames?

To be entertained, and to have fun, right?

Please note that nowhere in my answer above did I need to mention Halo or Bungie. You know why, because over the years, I have been entertained by many different games, and even types of games. Anywhere from the original Bioshock (which was a surprising and amazing experience), to Demon's Souls, to God of War, Ratchet and Clank, Gears of War, Mario Kart, Super Mario Brothers, Duck Hunt, Final Fantasy, etc. To be honest, I have probably spent the most time playing Halo online multiplayer (I'd guess that Final Fantasy would be second for me). I have spent countless hours of entertainment, joy, and even a some frustration playing Halo online. So I definitely appreciate the Halo franchise, and am a huge fan of it. But I certainly won't let that define videogames for me, as then I would miss out on other fantastic games, and that would be a shame.

From your need to bring up Halo, MCC, or Bungie at almost any and every opportunity, it seems that you have defined "videogames" to be either Halo or not Halo. Granted, although Halo is a fantastic franchise, I think you might be missing out on a ton of other great content out there if this is the case.

 

having Dirk=GOAT only validates my GOAT opinion even further kind sir. Bungie gave us the GOAT halo but messed up really bad with Reach....im not even butthurt brah.

You can try to justify buying Destiny any way you want, but the reality is, its an awful game that will make money off the developers name.

 

I notice you still haven't explained why re-releases and sequels are to be derided on PS4, while your reasoning for the XB1 being better is based on... a re-release and a sequel.
