Where exactly do they plan to build the Blue line? On 45, right next to 45?

I believe the initial plans we saw had a straight shot... then a secondary line was built connecting CS to Austin. Then another that ran through that connection from San Antonio to Dallas. But still no New Orleans, the place you really want to go at 1:30am.

i think they should stop at every little town and pick up 10 more people.

I'd be all for the blue line as long as the construction isn't going to somehow cause further congestion along 45. My second choice would be the red line. It's close enough to a straight shot (how many people will be stopping in Teague?) but it's far enough removed from 45 that those hypothetical congestion issues wouldn't be a concern.

And just a friendly FYI, the term is "shortsighted". The more you know...

First off these are hybrid airships, so they go quite fast. Secondly are we trying to be environmentally friendly with public transport or get there the fastest way? If it is the fastest way, I'll drive to Dallas and beat everyone.

If there was more video footage of the Titanic disaster other than a dreamy young ruffian wooing a chubby socialite before it hit an iceberg and took several hours to sink, maybe they wouldn't!

A ship sinking after it hits ice doesn't involve a straight up explosion, and in mid-air there is no way to go but down, down, down. Ships at least have lifeboats.

God***it, learn the difference in hydrogen and helium

It's approximately the difference between a passenger train and an oil train.

It's not that hard to get the land... eminent domain works wonders... how do you think all of the public "improvement" projects were completed? By giving people what they want for their land? Ha. Land grab.

We really need this, I just got back from Germany and love their rail system - just so easy to get to other cities there....

I'm pretty sure that blue is the best route for the project's goal... to create a bullet train, to create a short trip between Dallas and Houston... the college station idea is aggie lobbying power at the state level. It hurts everyone else so that their town can have a train, when they just had the freeway expanded for them.

This would be awesome, but too bad I'm not sure that by 2021 I will even be in Texas anymore to take advantage of it.
