Hey dumb#%^*....learn how to read and then you will see that just because it is regarding Lin does not make the poster a LOF. The concept of this post for the hundredth (not literal for you factoids) time is that the team could have gotten more by trading Lin either at the deadline or by utilizing his expiring contract and clearing millions next year WHILE retaining a valuable 1st round draft pick. I do not want Lin here long term any more than the rest of you, but I am not 100% sure that the stars are going to align right and we are even going to fall in the parameters required to get the NO pick. If we don't get that pick and one of our two stars gets hurt for any relevant amount of time (real possibility as McHale tends to overplay Harden and Howard) then you all will be upset watching the Lakers use our first rd pick on a top young talent next season. Look at it this way....just letting Lin rot on the bench and walk next season would have allowed us a backup better than Ish and allowed us to be in the 1st round of next year's draft or at least given us two 1st round picks to trade at this year's deadline.

Kind of ignores the fact that keeping Lin would cost $15m. Ish Smith at the minimum is a hell of a lot better value than Lin at $15m.

Well you probably shouldn't whine about the trade and then admit you don't give a damn about the money as that's a major reason he was traded.

Better value, OK. But Lin may help you win games now and then. Not sure same can be said of Ish.

Morey has repeatedly demonstrated he favors flexibility over the ability of non-star players to marginally improve the team.

We're still pretending Ish Smith is going to be the first PG off the bench? Oh.

I 100% agree with you. But the problem is that your dumb thread about Lin and the dumb posts that you have made can easily confuse the dumb ones to mistake you as a LOF.

That's what I am saying. Ish Smith is like last on our PG depth. Well... maybe he comes in before Johnson who will most likely been in the D-League to make this argument moot..

To all my detractors, ask yourselves one question.....if Morey was on the other side of this trade and acquired another team's second best bench player and a 2015 first round pick for absolutely nothing would you be singing his praises. I know I would be. We'd all be saying "In Morey We Trust" and mocking the other team for just handing us their 1st round pick. I know it is difficult, but try to be objective and consider for just a brief moment in time what the reaction of ClutchFans would have been if Morey had pulled off this trade.

If the tab of paying that 2nd best bench player was $15m, I'd probably have wanted more.

$15 million isn't absolutely nothing. It sounds like it's difficult for you to be objective considering you've repeatedly dismissed his salary.
