Did you actually want a reply to this nonsense or are you joking? .776 round weapons? Rocket surgeons?
Houston PD doesn't have dash cams in units on patrol. When a big guy is running at an officer (the guy who can legally take his liberty away), should you wait until you're almost dead or unconscious before you decide to step your game up? Or do you overcome his force with force of your own? I'll tell you the answer. You overcome the force being thrust upon you, which is legal, and sometimes jumps across the use of force continuum straight to deadly force. r****d has already shown how little he regards for his own life by assaulting the guy with the gun. And growing up in that town, you should know to never bring fists to a gun fight. Maybe I should call them scholars. Give me an alternative for what the local police should do when a guy with a AK-47 (.762 round I meant in earlier post) has taken over and has shot at the cops. You can't call the military in. They're not for domestic issues. What do we do? Equip our cops properly or let them run in with a run of the mill vest (a lot of depts can't afford vest for guys on patrol) and a Glock 22?
You dont know this for a fact. Autopsy showed that a kid was also shot in the back, for me that should be enough to put the officer in the courtroom n present all the facts, n then all of us would know what really happen.
Yes there are situations where police will need more advanced and lethal weaponry but how frequent are those situations? I don't think anyone is saying that there shouldn't be SWAT but that military equipment and tactics isn't something that is needed most of the time especially for crowd control. While on the subject. During the Iraq occupation one reason why the US had such a hard time winning hearts and minds was because of how heavy handed the US military dealt with policing. As much as I criticize the British they learned from their experience with Northern Ireland and other places that militarizing the police tended to inflame situations more than it calmed things down. So in Basra they policed with troops not in full combat gear.
What do I not know for a fact? I've been a night shift beat cop for my entire adult life. So I know a little bit about police work/tactics/use of force/penal code chapter 9, etc. And, I don't know what autopsy you're talking about. All six rounds were from the front.
actually autopsy showed that 6 shots were found on his arm, chest and top of his head, the one in his head being the lethal shot. He was not shot in the back, at least that's what i read yesterday
You dont know for a fact that Michael Brown was running at the officer trying to hurt him, none of us do. I read today that one of the shots was from the back
Got a pretty good idea about it, from a witness that doesn't know someone is recording http://www.ijreview.com/2014/08/168...tail-background-video-mins-ferguson-shooting/
well other "ideas" are saying that he raised his hands up surrendering, so i guess u just gotta choose who to believe. None of those are facts.
You mean 7.62x39mm. If you are going to make up situations that never happen in order to justify gear cops don't need, get the terminology right. Military can be used domestically, they are called the National Guard and have been called in to restore order in Ferguson today by the governor because cops aren't very good at it.
You dont know, neither do I Put him in a courtroom, if he's not guilty he has nothing to be afraid of, plus the law is on his side. Otherwise we'll never find out what really happened, it's all speculations
Google is your friend. Plenty of situation where a tactical response is warranted. Yea, they were called in by the governor because the FERAL ANIMALS in that town can't act right and it has reached a state of emergency. A search warrant or a guy shooting at cops with an AK doesn't justify and will not justify military involvement.
Some of the "witnesses" said his back was to him too. I guess they must have saw it just like the co defendant in the robbery....a lot of witnesses have already shown to not be credible.
Lot of people thought George Zimmerman didn't commit a crime, lotta people thought he did, he went to court walked out not guilty.
