He's watching the one posted on this page higher up that is cut off before it finishes. The doctored video doesn't show the confrontation between Brown and the clerk. It just looks like a clerk walks by Brown and then it ends.
It must be hell to raise a black male child in America unless he's a super athlete people know about. I don't know how I could survive every night without know where he was so I wouldn't worry about him getting killed by police.
The only problem i have with the whole situation is the fact that cops are so quick to pull the trigger... i have had a gun drawn on me by an officer because i approached him from behind to ask about a crash that my mother was in... i didn't come at him in an aggressive matter i simply walked up to his police car and he hops out the car with a gun in my face asking me what I'm doing, to which i reply, my mom is in this crash what do i do." It doesn't matter if the kid stole some cigars or raped his god damn grandmother, cops dont have the right to shoot first and ask questions later... even if the kid was attempting to fight back or what have you, a cop should either be trained well enough to apprehend a suspect without using deadly force or he shouldn't be on the damn squad. If i was getting beat up and shot someone six times and claimed self defense my ass would be thrown in jail
The police force will hire anybody and there is nothing more dangerous than giving a scary dude a badge and a gun. Was this just one individual officer by himself...? If so that's another problem. He should have not been alone. Police officers should be equipped with cameras and mics that are recording at all times when the officer is on shift. This way the tape and audio can tell the story instead of he say/she says. Rioting doesn't solve anything... Someone else will be gunned down in a week or two.
The # of deaths of black children by police is far lower than the # of deaths of black children by non police, way lower than the # of deaths of black children by drugs, etc. I agree with Rand Paul that there is definitely a racial component to the application of force by police and that needs to be corrected, but if no black child died at the hands of a police officer for all of 2015, it would only be a small dent in the total number of black youths who die each year by unnatural causes OTHER than police force.
Well the account was, Brown reached for the cop's gun and a shot was fired off during the struggle. That's pretty much suggests the cop was in danger. And that "kid was 290 pounds and 6'4", and the cop was alone
Just a quick note - your friends that are petty thieves and/or thugs are d-bags. Given who you choose to associate with, the fact that you proclaim "Ef the Police" is also telling. The above has no bearing on the Michael Brown issue, but it was worth pointing out.
the fact that 85% of arrest in Ferguson are black people shows that there is a real and tangible difference in the way that white suspects and black suspects are dealt with... there is no way that only 15% of that towns crime is done by non-blacks. and I dont think anybody thinks Police are the leaders when it comes to killing black youths but they are not helping. Hell, taser the kid, beat the kid to a pulp if you have to but there is absolutely no reason to shoot an unarmed person 6 times.
I totally agree, they are d bags haha the only reason i brought that up was to point out that i am not the type of person that is going to typecast someone as "thug" as the poster suggested i did.
They will keep 'digging' and convoluting until they find a narrative that gets them off the hook for being the evil murders that they are . . . . . .. now they just 'trying to get the story straight' Rocket River
67.4% of the population of Ferguson are Blacks...29.3% of the population are Whites... http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/states/29/2923986.html
well the town is like 67 percent African American, they are definitely overepresented, but not by a huge percent.
who's account? The medical examiner said there were, "no signs of a struggle" and the lack of gun powder on Browns body suggest that the shots were not from close up... So how exactly was the officers life in danger? we will probably never know what really happened, and both parties were probably at fault in the situation but an officer has to hold himself to a higher standard than an 18 year old kid.
I know the poster you responded to was speaking of the police specifically but you're response is typical from someone on the outside looking in. You think drugs are unnatural in this country...??? Ha...!!!! Who do you think opened up the flood gates for drugs in this country...??? Lol...
So should those small business reopen again after the looting and arson? I would say no, just collect the insurance $$ and relocate out of the county altogether.
There's a lot of information that remain unprocessed or just unreleased, like cop's clothes, his injuries, his own version of the story, his car for gun powerder residue. I'm merely suggesting one account that has been said, the case is by no means clear
Policemen across the country are watching all of the violence and looting coming from these protesters and this is making relations with the black community much worse. These premature protests, done in the absence of all of the information about the case, are damaging to the very cause the protesters are trying to address. It's a shame.
http://www.nytimes.com/2014/08/18/us/michael-brown-autopsy-shows-he-was-shot-at-least-6-times.html?_r=0 The truth for all of this may lay somewhere in between. That still doesnt explain why a community thinks its ok to voice displeasure by committing more violent acts.
