That's why I said he has a buyout clause. Very hard to get a great player now that the season already started in some leagues and is about to start in other leagues, so a buyout is the easiest method.

Can't believe that United don't splash the supposed "war chest" they have. They finished what 20-25 points behind the contenders last season. The team is so uneven. Plenty of similar players up front with no pace. Herrera looked good in preseason but, hell, the central midfield has been neglected the last 10 years. And now we are running with three central defenders after loosing Vidic and Ferdinand and have injury proned Evans, Jones and Smalling as our first choices. So we have to play with guys like Blackett who has absolutely no experience, and have no one on the bench. This squad is in shambles. End rant.

Benatia to Bayern 99% done deal according to BILD. Reschke (our new technical director and responsible for transfers) is in Rome right now and negotiating the deal.
Likely to be announced in the next minutes or hours.

 

Not sure about Benatia. He's 27 and last year, his market value was only 13 million. I feel like we are overpaying - is he worth more than Kroos? I don't think so.

Ferguson made United. Now that he's gone they are just another club in another city. No longer have the appeal to players. They better be careful or they might lose the bandwagon fans that made them the most popular club in the world. Players aren't going to take discounts to play for them.

 

Benatia is better than any CB Bayern has right now,one of the best CB's in my opinion.

Also happy if he leaves so Roma gets worse.
