You are terribly misinformed. A quick google could have spared your lack of knowledge. It's similar to the Taliban fighters. It's often takes way more than 9 shots to put them down and they're hopped up on opium; which is a much different drug than a dissociative anesthetic (PCP and the like)
I've seen those Brazilian off duty cop videos and those dudes one/two shot perps in all sorts of situations. Brazilian of duty cops have incredible marksmanship.
Absolutely you shoot if shot at but that's not the case here. Stealing blunts and even punching a cop does not warrant the use of deadly force. The cop way 'overstepped' on this one. Let the grand jury see if there is a case, but he has shown that he does not need to be out there carrying a gun to gun down thugs as he sees fit. That's not the way this works.
Hmm... the deceased was a defendant? btw, there were multiple witnesses: http://pix11.com/2014/08/14/crisis-in-ferguson-witnesses-dispute-police-account-of-michael-brown-shooting/ Or, are you saying the woman above was also a co-defendant too?
Punching a cop in the face and robbery will probably allow for deadly force in most states. So you are dead wrong there.
'Probably' and 'are' don't match. And I think you're wrong or there would be a lot more deaths for assaulting a police...a rather minor offense... Along with petty theft.
That's pretty much what the D&D is all about, "I don't know what I'm talking about, but I know you don't know what you are talking about". Pretty much every thread comes down to that.
If this guy can be prosecuted, so should the police officer (assuming things are as the eyewitnesses say): http://abcnews.go.com/US/man-trial-shooting-car-thief/story?id=23187445
Blows to the face are deadly force. Against a cop you are dead wrong that it cannot be cause for returning deadly force. In what world are you living in that bashing a cops face in doesn't merit deadly force? I'm sorry for saying probably. I was allowing for some possible backward state that I never researched. Now that I think about it, it is impossible.
There are situations where it wouldn't be appropriate, such as an old frail person or a child who threw a punch at a cop might not be seen as a viable enough threat, but from the look of this guy, he was some kind of bootleg Debo. It wouldn't take a lot for him to be viewed as a threat.
I don't consider assaulting a police officer a minor offense. I would never ever ever assault a police officer. Some of those officers are hot heads, you never know who you are dealing with. Just avoid the cops if you can by obeying all laws, and if you get stopped, be polite as possible. Cops are pretty much the last group of people I want to have a physical confrontation with.
I didn't say threw a punch. I said blows to the head. Blows to the head neck or spine are considered deadly force. Because........... it can kill you.
Good point, I was just saying that some are more easily seen as legitimate threats than others. If you're a big guy, acting aggressive towards cops is a good way to get hit with a taser or shot.
Well apparently the cop told them to "get the **** off the street" to which I'm sure the teenage kid responded with something like go **** yourself. I can't imagine many cops at that point not trying to get physical with someone. This apparently wasn't Barney Fife in Mayberry asking the fellas to move it over to the sidewalk.
