I am not doing any struggling. People who rob convenience stores for blunts ARE D bags, I agree with this. I do think it is way too early to make the assumption that he was the one in the picture. If it turns out that he did, then I promise I will change my tune and call him a D bag. I just don't understand how you can judge him as guilty based on a few blurry pictures lol... yeah you definitely would make a great cop. If it turns out that he robbed the convenience store but the cop killed him without a real justification ... how would you react?
So you think it's just a coincidence that the person in the video and the dead guy were wearing the same clothes and were with the same person? I guess that same guy could have another friend who looks similar who just happened to be wearing the same clothes, but are we really going to take that as a serious possibility?
You'd make a crappy lawyer too. There have always been cases where suspects are ruled out becuase guess what? They weren't the people who did it!!! That's why they use the word SUSPECT!
You may be right and he might have robbed it. If he is guilty I will have no problem admitting I was wrong. I am not just going to rush out and brand him as guilty immediately. Innocent until proven guilty is still a thing.
It's ok to investigate everything to get the whole story but why do you release information like this? It doesn't matter if he swiped some swisher sweets or not, you don't shoot an unarmed man that is running away. Period. Releasing info like this is meant to take the eyes off the officer and put them back on the victim. The police chief is soooo far over his head it's really sad.
I think it's fair for the police to collect facts about the investigation before releasing tidbits of information to the media for them to misconstrue and spin. I do see the downside of being hush about it as it breeds paranoia and conspiracies about law enforcement, but I think it's better that way so media, citizens, and/or law enforcement don't jump to conclusions. Unfortunately, that did happen here as people started protesting before knowing the facts. I do agree that Ferguson PD have botched up controlling these riots and protests, but they were never given a fair investigation before riots started. Those look like the exact same sandals to me. Clothing is the same, body type the same. You can see straps in the convenience store photos as well as the crime scene photos. I don't know how you conclusively determined those are sneakers in the crime scene photo. The footwear looks the same to me.
And that "thing" is just in a court of law, I'm not convicting him in a court of law. The video of him doing it is sufficient enough evidence for me to think he did it. If it turns out that the guy he was with when he died has a friend that looks very similar to him who happened to have been wearing the same clothes that day then I'll apologize for thinking that he was a scumbag who robbed a convenience store for Swishers.
It doesn't matter if Brown robbed something or not. That has nothing to do with the shooting of him. They are two separate issues.
exactly everything else is just distraction and attempts at justification it is ok to do evil and wrong . .. as long as it is to 'bad people' The character assassination begins this isht is up there with victim blaming in rape trials except this is more acceptable Rocket River
He's fired regardless, what he's doing now is carving out his post-Law Enforcement career as a right wing folk hero - sort of like the police version of Cliven Bundy. Perhaps he gets the brass ring: A paid Fox News gig. One can dream, right?
Getting shot over a pack of cigarette's is probably little overboard, but if he was running I can kind of understand.
Do we actually know the circumstances of how he ended up getting shot? Have they released that information?
