Stopped reading after this dense nugget of stupid.

Most of us saw the information showing that Saddam did not support militant Islamists, apparently you chose to believe the liars (like Bush and Co.) who claimed he did.

You delusion is by choice, you have the power to seek out accurate information, why do you choose not to do so?

Your judged the POTUS on his name, not the content of his character.

    Here's some facts for you.

Hussein is like a super common Muslim name. It means "good"
Saddam Hussein was a secularist and despised religious militants.

David Berkowitz was a serial killer.
By your logic, since you are also named David. You must be a serial killer.

The rest of that well thought out rant aside, I'm interested in your reasoning behind the unedited part above.

How are you struggling with that? The US made the mess in Iraq by pulling out troops before Iraq was strong enough to take care of themselves. It's like abandoning an infant with the reasoning being that the infant pushed away from you so you had no choice.

I write a post expressing my disgust at the Obama leaving the Assyrians, Yezidi & others in the hands of ISIS, when he could continue to bomb These militants out of existence, & all of you guys are just focused on my highlighting of his name...

Like I said, we have (Assyrian) family & friends still over there & I was expecting more from Obama.

    It's Obama's mess...

but to answer your question, P.M. Abbott has already started processing the visas for the first 4500 Assyrian & Yezidi people & is, like France, looking at taking in more. We've started dropping food & other supplies, and:

Really? Obama is the one who invaded Iraq?

You seem to believe a lot of things that simply aren't accurate.

Ya but that infant was conceived in a strip club by a drunk patron who charged 200 dollars for a good time with no condom in the VIP room.

The invasion wasn't what made it a mess, it was part of it, but it was the abandonment of Iraq before they were strong enough to take care of themselves that made it a mess. Obama inherited a dumpster and then set it on fire.

Meh, I already know Bobby's version of events, just want to hear your version.

After the US ousted a dictator under dubious pretense, set up a "democratic" government, oversaw and election, established safe zones, trained and armed a local military, and was then kindly shown the door - why is your ire directed at a country half-way across the world, and not at the local leaders who clearly failed their people? Was the pull-out too sudden? Weren't they given 3 years warning?

Don't confuse things, dude. They have no interest in the truth, but rather an interest in slamming the President at every opportunity.

Their logic is akin to a oil company creating a major oil spill resulting in an ecological disaster and people critisizing the clean up crew more than the oil company.

If we go with the oil spill analogy it would be like having someone's negligence cause an oil spill and then blame it on the company that put the oil rig there to begin with.

Not when the company that put the oil rig there was the same one that acted negligently.

    You're kidding, right?

The "abandonment" of which you speak was negotiated by Bush. Obama simply followed the terms of the treaty when the Iraqi government decided that it wouldn't renegotiate the terms to allow for a residual force.

Obama inherited a dumpster with a timer that, when activated, set the dumpster on fire.

Biased partisans will be biased, I suppose.

It wasn't though. There was a new administration in the office when that was done either by design or by negligence.

I guess it would have been too much to ask that he defuse that timer in the years he had to act....nah, blaming Bush for everything has pretty much been the way to go so far, why change it?

The Bush administration was the one that negotiated and signed the treaty.
