This is the correct playlist. Not the one in the OP. That being said I think I like the one by OP better than this crap. Its a damn basketball game. Stop appealing to the hipsters and stick with hip hop and rap and some pop. Whoever curates FIFA's soundtracks year by year should help 2K. They do an amazing job. Heck, even NBA Live. EA's soundtracks are great.
Man Strafe "Set It Off" is gonna be the only song in gonna be listening to in 2K. I was actually expecting a Shaq song ever since that freestyle video he is for Pharrell.
Think alternative, with some international music as well. Its fits tremendously well with the game and the sport.
It's usually quite poppy but with high quality tracks (no Blurred Lines and whatever other crap was put into the last 2k). They generally showcase a bunch of different countries by sourcing a lot of international tracks (it is the world game after all). As RR said, it suits the sport. On another note, They are rehashing old songs in this tracklist. Afrika Bambaataa and Santigold were in 2k6 and 2k9 respectively IIRC.
So Pharrell "curated" the soundtrack to have 5/27 of his own songs? I'm utterly shocked he didn't include "Happy" in this list.
I think it's Ok. I feel like I could make such a good playlist for 2k though, good songs and songs that perfectly fit the feel of the game

Very enjoyable, at least, until the vocalist started "singing".... It seemed to have a very 80's vibe to it's beat... which is not unusual in today's "indie" music... heck, even in some samples of today's pop...
