    It was a rhetorical question.

Strange that you cite family structure and a lack of rather figures while deriding the importance of slavery and systemic racism in destroying the family structure and taking away father figures. Classic conservative double speak.

That's because the goal of those social programs are to prevent starvation and help individuals maintain the status quo. No government programs are going to be able to spur upward mobility.

It's a numbers game, so what if there are some who break through and become successful? The numbers game dictate that some will not.

Imagine being born into a culture of poverty, violence, without a strong role model, in addition to the very real institutional racism that still persists to this day in America.

The people you are born with, the people you interact with, do much more to shape the type of person you are than any school or daycare. You can have a perfect school and it means nothing if you return to a broken household.

It is the continuing cycle that dooms many African American males right now. Many of these people weren't raised by their parents, they were raised by the streets. As a result, when they go out and become fathers themselves, they act the same way because that's the environment they were raised in.

This is exactly right but my question why can't we discuss these problems and try to find some sort of solution without getting called a racist and fired from our jobs. A lot liberals turn blind eye when it comes to speaking about the black community.

perhaps if you phrased your topic like

"A discussion about the problems that the black community has and how to solve them"

then maybe it would be better received.

I guess because when you, your parents, your grandparents and great-grandparents didn't want to live, work or learn around them in the first place, the most polite thing you can do is not gloat about the conditions your little quarantine ultimately created.

Should the government help poor people or help black people?

Yeah, my older brother played bass in junior high orchestra, but by the time I finished elementary Dad had traded in the Ram Van for an Accord, so I had to pick something that could fit.

I think I need to see this flowchart where white people going to black neighborhoods for cheaper drugs leads to higher test scores and salaried desk jobs.

You started this race card thread.

Why do you cite family structure and a lack of rather figures while deriding the importance of slavery and systemic racism in destroying the family structure and taking away father figures. What is the cause of a broken family structure and lack of family figures? The rap music and baggy pants?

"I failed at life so let me go head and pull out the race card." Using the race card in 2014 is laughable. Ursula Burns born in the projects now is CEO of fortune 500 company.

You're not addressing the question, just promoting more slogans and nonsense. Citing a one in a million example of how the blacks can become millionaires if they only try is classic conservative trash.

If you were to be believed, the cause is racist white people and your remedy is to kick Asian kids out of college.
