    This is becoming quite comical. 240 years of slavery and an additional 100 years of institutionalized segregation and racism(Black Codes, Jim Crow Laws) and people expect the African American race to catch up to white people within a couple of generations.

    but at the end of the day . . they have little to no interest in the real reasons

    Drug Sentencing Disparities

    About 14 million Whites and 2.6 million African Americans report using an illicit drug
    5 times as many Whites are using drugs as African Americans, yet African Americans are sent to prison for drug offenses at 10 times the rate of Whites
    African Americans represent 12% of the total population of drug users, but 38% of those arrested for drug offenses, and 59% of those in state prison for a drug offense.
    African Americans serve virtually as much time in prison for a drug offense (58.7 months) as whites do for a violent offense (61.7 months). (Sentencing Project)

    People tend to forget that Civil Rights movement ended 1968...it hasn't even been a full generation since that stuff.

    Give me a break, when will liberals stop using slavery as an excuse for horrid behavior in the black community. Slavery ended 150 years ago, so that makes it ok to knock up girl and leave. NEWSFLASH Africans weren't the only race that were enslaved, slavery still exists today.

    Here's a couple of newsflashes for you. The oppression of Blacks in this nation didn't end with Slavery. They've only been allowed to vote for a few decades.

    How silly does a person have to be to think 400 years of oppression gets completely overcome in 50-60 years?

    Let's get real.

    Let's also look at the justice system and it's poor record. Blacks getting longer sentences for the exact same crimes as whites, and all of the other problems concerning African Americans and our justice system.

    Hopefully this isn't a case of you just trying to use statistics to make a prejudicial statement about blacks, and that you're generally concerned.

    We'll let people make up their own mind based on your previous and further posts.

    I like how you say unarmed like the cop woke up that morning and said to himself, I'm going to shoot a random black guy today. You weren't there, you don't know what happened.


    Black cop shoots "unarmed" white man. The cop had every right to **** the guy because he thought his life was in danger. Total accident, **** happens.
