Well, he did say 3rd down back, which is typically a RB that goes out as a receiver rather than stays in and blocks.

If Brooks can just pass his physical soon, maybe the O-Line can have some time to jell with its expected starters.
I wonder what his mysterious non-football injury is?! McClain (by observation) speculates it is a back injury: That can't be good for an OL.
I tell ya . .. the 1st pre season game took alot of wind out of the Texans fanbases' sails Rocket River
It was a worse-case scenario; all the big question marks misfired so it served to (temporarily) confirm all of our worst fears: the QB was terrible; the OL was terrible; the secondary was terrible. I think they'll straighten out # 2 and 3. But I think BO'B is going to have to eat some crow on Fitzpatrick, a foolishly arrogant decision. For me, the big, legitimate concern from the game that I think *is* an issue moving forward is depth: they have none. If everyone is healthy, and they can sit on Fitzpatrick, I think the team can win 6-9 games. But man, oh man... one twist, sprain, or break and they're in trouble...
Can you expound on this? I don't really know how many other (possibly better) options we truly had. Michael Vick, Case Keenum, Blake Bortles? I agree on depth. This team is paper thin, and I think that is going to get worse before it gets better.
Taking on Fritz smells similar to "I CAN MAKE CARR INTO AN NFL QUARTERBACK!" Rocket River Cannot make chicken salad out of chicken $*!t
I was just about to eat some chicken salad... Thanks a lot Rocket. Lol... I just hope the Texans can score a TD this week. The offense should look better against that Atlanta defense.
I think the OL actually played okay, all things considered (Brooks injury, 1st game with new offense). No sacks or even hits for Fitzpatrick. And the running game showed some flashes even with no Arian. Seems like this is the case every year. We seem to have a habit of over-rating/paying our starters so that we have no $$ left over to sign any decent backups. Cushing has been out for 2 years and look at the garbage we've been throwing out there trying to replace him.
