Man you guys are hard on TJ. He's only been able to legally drink for like a year now. Big men often take the most time to develop defensively and our coaching situation is certainly not helping him come along.

despite the OP's misuse of stats (I dare you to pick him for your fantasy league team), I do think TJ has a promising future as an offensive player, but unfortunately that's not a good fit for us at PF right now.

Since, the word "vastly" gets tossed around alot by knote32 when describing TJ, let me try, too. we need "vastly" improved defense from him.

This reminds me of the thread where some guy was trying to tell people that Ho Grant was a superstar based on "win shares". Please make it stop.

I feel like a lot of people give a lot of hate towards both Terrence and Beverly because of their playoff performance.

Terrence avg. 12 and 7 and when having dwight and harden next to you I think that's pretty good, especially when you have parsons putting up 16 and 11 from Bev.

Alderige is a star, and Terrence is only 22, I think jones was not ready for that kind of responsibility. But he is a solid player and he's only 22!

On a side note save with Beverly. He was playing with a hurt MCL and played with 102' degree fever. Lilliard would have never gone off like that if he was health

if morey's gameplan is 3rd star or bust then i'd rather see everyone competing for minutes. dwight, harden and ariza are locks. so keep him at pf and see if he gets better.

people give him **** for getting ripped by LMA, LMA did the same to a lot of PF'S, Jones is going to take time until he hits his peak and his defence isn't that bad.

some people just don't have patience

BS... Chuck Hayes did not have half the talent that Jones has but he never was intimidated by any player...

On several occasion Jones was not just out played he was playing like a scared lil girl... You can beat on a play here or there but don't let another player take your balls away from you and make you look like a lil p_ _ _ y...

If you can kick the crap out of a homeless man than stand up to someone your own size... Peaking on offense has nothing to do with playing like a scared punk..

Terrence Jones is still developing, Beverley is gonna be on him all year. When he gets that beast card you guys are gonna be looking kinda foolish.

Naaa not me... But I will take a Kurt Rambis type of player who will give everything they have and play with pure heart, then a guy like Jones with a lot of talent and not give everything he has...

I hate when people say he's young, young has nothing to do with playing with your heart.

There seems to be an innate defensive awareness to play good NBA defense and he doesn't have it. I'm sick of hearing people talk about how young he is, he has been in the NBA for 2 years and hasn't shown any improvement in that regard. D-Mo has been in the NBA just as long and he has shown marked improvement in his defensive awareness.

Jones may improve, but he will need to improve a lot to even be average defensively.

I remember few years back that Scola was abusing LA big time I think that was Aldrigde 3rd year or so (I might be wrong) he turned good. Look I'm not saying that TJones will be Lamarcus Aldrigde good but the kid is special. I feel that this year he could be more of a dribbler than a post up player, one of the things that I did not understand against Portland was the fact that we did not ISO T jones against Aldrigde you know make him defend or something. At least we know what we have now. Exited to see young talent develop hopefully we can keep them

Chuck Hayes had god given gifts on the defensive end. Much more natural talent than Jones. His strength, combined with some of the most deft foot speed for a man that size makes him a terror in isolation coverage on defense. PLUS, he came into the league with some old man strength. Terrence will get some of that, as he is still only 22.

You need a "vastly" improved attitude. Maybe a Sean Connery b**** slap would do the trick, you arrogant turd
