I know I have already posted this once, but the Texans need to monitor the DB waiver wire 24/7 throughout the preseason - Hell, even into the regular season. I feel like I'm watching the Aggies defensive backs during this game. Playing 10-15 yards off the line and having a difficult time covering anything.
You're making too many assumptions - he did pretty well with the time he got just now in his first game. And he was drafted #22 - that's not exactly "high." Bortles was high. Manziel wasn't even the first Browns pick either. It sounds like you're biased (along with a ton of other posters on CF) because of what Manziel has done in the past. I don't think he's done anything of note recently, which bodes well. I think "being' in the NFL is really setting him straight. tl;dr? It's limited time against a 2nd string Lions defense, but Manziel hasn't shown any signs of being a bust. At least give him the preseason before concluding that he'll be a crappy QB.

Nothing will ever compare to the VY rookie year game where he won it in OT. I'm sure the Manziel-lovers are hoping he won't have a VY-type career, but if you look at the two players, VY likely had a better chance of succeeding in the NFL (based on his body-type, skills, and overall ability) than Manziel has.
I'm not the one who's biased. If Manziel succeeds, he will be the first of his kind ever in the history of the NFL. I'm betting he's not going to be that guy.
That backlash already happened. When VY won rookie of the year. And ran it in the endzone in OT at reliant and was cheered. Seriously JFF lovers. Go away.
