Its funny reading all of you being so dramatic and getting all worked up over what role players we sign. We are going to ride and die with how well Harden/Howard play. If they step it up and play like they should then we will be fine with the other players we have. Just relax and wait for the season to start to see how everything plays out. I am looking forward to hopefully being a better defensive team.
I don't know a whole lot about him either. But a lot of Euro guys numbers don't reflect their ability. Rubio averaged like 4 assists I think the year before he came over.
the whole amphibious thing didnt originate with drexler though.. "Left hand, right hand, it doesn't matter. I'm amphibious." Charles Shackleford
They won the title with their highest scorer, scoring 11 ppg, leading assists was 4 apg and leading rebounds was 6 rpg, it's a very different game...
Harden and Howard who were obtained with great flexibility. Kostas can be a nice rotational player if his 3 point shot translates with faster close outs. Do you want the Rockets to obtain nice rotational players with bad flexibility that hamper roster improvement? I was hoping the Rockets would have gotten Bosh via trade and then brought him over.
Just an interesting stat... Kostas Papanikolaou was the Euroleague "rising star" in 2013. That is an award given to the best player under 22 years old, and was started in 2004/2005. Here are the previous winners: 2004/05 - Erazem Lorbek 2005/06 - Andrea Bargnani 2006/07 - Rudy Fernandez 2007/08 - Danilo Gallinari 2008/09 - Novica Velickovic 2009/10 - Ricky Rubio 2010/11 - Nikola Mirotic 2011/12 - Nikola Mirotic 2012/13 - Kostas Papanikolaou 2013/14 - Bogdan Bogdanovic Most of them are pretty decent players.
It's an old sports joke, allegedly originated from something said by former Philadelphia Sixers center Charles Shackleford (he was Shack before Shaq) : "Left hand, right hand, it doesn't matter. I'm amphibious." http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...s-in-sport-1802517.html?action=gallery&ino=10
