As a bench player, I hope he comes in looking to make a mark on the game. As it stands, our bench doesn't have an identity and he'd be perfect guy to lead them to one.
I like the look of that. Lots of shooting with the 2nd unit. Before we signed Pap, this is what I thought we needed to make a championship run: 1) stretch 4 that doesn't get killed on the defensive end 2) guard that can score and distribute 3) backup wing 4) backup big Kostas, assuming he's not a complete bust, should solve #3. I think Jermaine O'Neal or Emeka Okafor could be had for the BAE, unless Dorsey is our answer at backup center. Then you've got to trade for your starting 1 and 4.
I like this move. How can anyone not? He hustles on D, makes few mistakes and can hit the three ball. He is a perfect bench guy and someone we can throw at the superstar wing players to give them a different look defensively while Ariza rests. This also allows Ariza to slide to the SG when Harden is out or when James is having one of his "where did my man go?" nights defensively.
