Well, my retort to Blazers fans:

1. Rockets ships: 2. Blazers ships: 1.

2. Two words: Oden and Bowie. How does it feel to be remembered for the 2 worst draft-day decision in the history of the NBA?

3. Yes, b/c they have both been to the Finals like Harden and Howard. Oh, wait...

4. And the best player in the history of your franchise had to come to Houston to experience what a championship felt like.

5. Well, you could have had 2 ships, b/c the Blazers were better than the Pacers in 2000, except that you had one of the biggest chokes in NBA playoff history in Game 7 against the Lakers.

Sorry, but I've had it up to here with Blazers trolls.

Oh man, gotta love the world we live in nowadays. This is how strong the anti-Rockets bandwagon is currently.



A bench guy who played roughly 15 minutes last year is quoted and his comments become one of the top posts on r/nba.

Serious question, when/how did we become the most hated team in the league? I ain't mad, just saying. I mean, we're barely over a year removed from being that "up and coming" team that lost to OKC in 6. Head scratcher but W/E

It doesn't matter reddit is just for the laughs and trolls; a large majority of them are pretty stupid

 

It's not really surprising. First off, Dwight is hated by a lot of fans. So there is that. Harden also isn't well-liked by many because of his style of play.

Plus, after the Rockets got Dwight, Rockets fans were cheering and talking about being contenders and a possible championship.

Other fans don't like the boasting.

Other fans don't like when teams who haven't accomplished anything are getting hype and praise. They want to knock them down a peg.

Then add in the fact that the Rockets after all the talk of being "contenders" lost in the first round. Now fans of other teams laugh and get enjoyment out of the Rockets losing after hearing constantly about how amazing Daryl Morey was to put that team together and how much of a value Parsons was and how young and exciting this team was with championship aspirations.

And the icing on the cake was striking out this off-season and losing Parsons. The playoff first-round loss and then the "failed" off-season was a hater's wet dream.

So now they are just trying to pile it on while the Rockets' fans are down. So any little negative thing about the Rockets will be up-voted and treated like big news because the haters are partying right now and there isn't anything to shut them up.

They won't shut up until the Rockets do something of note.

i think it's easy to make this about Howard and Dwight, but it's more about DMo being kind of awkward and a foreigner on top of that. His sense of humor is kind of naive and then things get lost in translation too..

 

R/NBA has some of the smartest nba fans out there. Better than here.

Yes there is an anti Rockets circlejerk going on but BS gets called out quickly.
