    Him and Israel Gutierrez were given much larger roles at ESPN after Lebron went to Mia because of their connections to Miami

    It's kind of a "local" vs. "national" thing.

    Le Batard wears both hats. As a local sports media guy, it's perfectly fine for him to be a homer and have some fun at the expense of a departing star. As a national guy, maybe not so much as ESPN the national sports media outlet probably doesn't want to be viewed as pro-Miami or anti-Cleveland or anti-LeBron.

    Silly to suspend him, but I don't dan cares.

    He had more planned for today, I imagine they made him kill those plans though :/.

    His radio show is the best on espn, he's fun and doesn't regurgitate the sams crap everyone else is saying.

    It's the summer time before football season. The slowest time of the year for ESPN. This is just paid vacation.

    ESPN is just using the headline of suspension to lure more clicks.

    If you randomly flip on Sports Center during the day 9/10 you will hit a Lebron "story". (The other 1 will be a Johnny 'Im too drunk to remember what sport I play' Football)

    I'm starting a kickstarter for a sports channel that doesn't suck...

    Yeah, actually I do. SAS is now heading for XM/Sirius Mad Dog sports and is done with ESPN after this. It gives him a national platform where he can say whatever the f he wants.

    Well he might still be doing First Take, I don't know. He is no longer on ESPN radio though, that's for sure.
