This would explain why he went from possibly being our best defender as a rookie to being a mediocre defender the next two years. It would also explain the lack of outcry among teammates when he wasn't match.

This is arguable. Kwahi Leonard and Klay Thompson will both be getting max next year. Hayward got max this year. None of them has Parsons' stats but all have much better defensive reputations.

She's the chick on Grantland that interviewed him about fashion stuff a while back. She has a crush on him.

Nah, Chandler said hi first. In the comments to that, she said hey what's up. She replied within a minute, so people were joking about that.

Probably looking to get in Grantland again.

You signed a huge deal, you and LeBron right?

    Something like that.

Now on the Mavericks. Mark Cuban, he came down to sign you and your family in a night club?

Sounds weird and terrible. His plane was running late. I was waiting at the hotel, took family and closest friends to dinner, it kept going and going, so we went to the bar. I already committed to Dallas and knew I was going to sign but couldn't sign until midnight. He was coming that night. It was 12:30. Told him where I was and showed up to the club with the contract.

First thing you do when you get a contract like that?

I got them(his parents) a house in Orlando.

    Dating Kendall Jenner?

Long story. I train with Gunnar Peterson here in LA. She works out before me, so I get to know her, we had dinner and next thing I know I was on TMZ. More of a group activity than date.

Girlfriend or dating a bunch of girls?

I do not have a girlfriend.

Allowed to have sex during the season?

There's definitely some sort of penetration during the season.

USA National Team, do you have to be mindful of it?

Yeah. If it happens, it happens. I won't change drastically what I'm doing because I have a game. I get my rest.

    Officially a model?

Not officially. I've done some stuff. My agency booked me for some stuff last year. I had never done anything like that. It was fun. ... I had no idea it would be soft p*rn. I got crap for it in the locker room but I thought it turned out good.

Should append a poll: "Does Chandler Parsons make being a Mavericks fan worth it?".

    Chandler is a fame-w****.

He was always like this - its just now his head is about 14 time bigger since signing with the Mavericks.

He is a good player, dont get me wrong, but this "it's all about me" attitude is going to be great entertainment for Rocket fans when folks in Dallas start to get tired of this act.

Should start sinking in about the time they realize they wasted Dirk's pay cut on a solid role player and not a budding superstar. In a way the Rockets got what a wanted, a guarantee that Dallas won't be a true contender for the remainder of Dirk's career. I say let him be the Kardashian of the Nba what other option does the man have at this point.

As much as we would love to see this CP situation blow up in Dallas' face, it's our luck that it would go the opposite way.

It's our luck that he turns into the new heir to the Mavs throne. He's gonna be a beast. Why? Because it's just our luck.

Parsons is like the white J-Lin, mostly known for non-basketball reasons

    You mean something like this?

"You can't knock them for always trying to get better. [Houston general manager] Daryl Morey is very aggressive, is a genius, a great GM and I have nothing but respect for those guys. And they are looking to make their team better. That's what they were doing.

Despite feeling slighted by the Rockets, Parsons said he has "nothing but respect" for his former club after playing his first three NBA seasons in Houston. He also said he will remain close with his ex-teammates, Houston coach Kevin McHale and assistant coach J.B. Bickerstaff.

"They gave me my first opportunity,” Parsons said. "They believed in me. They drafted me. I have nothing but love and respect for them. They will have a special place in my heart. The fans were unbelievable and I hope they have no hard feelings. I had to do what is best for my career. "

This was all from his first interview after leaving.

    This is true.

Girls are always asking me "who's that white guy on the Rockets that's really hot?" And I actually pull a Carl and say "Kevin Love."

    Hellllooooo Major!

Look, I've said I'm not doing this any more. Period. Your post brought no new information to me whatsoever, FWIW, and it doesn't lead me to want to edit what I've posted. Hint: chronological order can never be taken back or rewritten.

Good luck to you and the Maverick Chandler Parsons! :) I think it's going to be a rough year for you though. :(

Interesting info. Thanks for posting that.

None of it surprises me. But #3 is pretty telling. We heard those exit interview interviews and now as time has moved on we can reflect on them in a different light.

On the surface the team looked pretty chummy, but clearly there were "agendas" in there.

Perhaps it just was best for Parsons to move on. It still stings me though.
