Got mad respect for those guys: Back in the 80's they actually turned down money to be in a miller lite beer commercial because they didn't feel it was right to promote alcohol due to the fact that a large percentage of their fan base was underage. They later successfully sued Miller Lite after look-alikes were used in the same commercial. didn't take long for people to sell out to the green though...
The Fatboys pretty much brought Rap into the white peoples world. It was clean and acceptable to parents and totally un-objectionable. Plus their use of old hit songs and integrating with groups like the Beach Boys didn't hurt either. They opened the door for the white consumer consumption of rap.
