I was about 4 years old, heard 'Semi-Charmed Life' and really liked the chorus. Naturally, I demanded my mom buy the album for me. She didn't realize the album was all about drugs and sex. Awesome album

I purchased two of them at the same time, IIRC at Foley's of all places, second one was a double album: I was probably all of 10 at the time. And they were records, in case you care.
It was Linkin Park Hybrid Theory. I'm not proud of it but I understand how it appealed to the 12 year old me.
My favorite band and album of all time. Would rep if I could. There were so many gems on that album that didn't hit the radio, by the way. That being said, my first album purchase was either Nellyville or Yourself and Someone Like You by Matchbox Twenty.
