No joke, this was my first. Purchased in 6th grade. I had some lawnmowing money, asked for advice on what to by, both my brother and best friend requested Freak Out.

Third Grade. Cashed in a ton of soda bottles to buy it at the grocery store.

Obviously you didn't buy this when it first came out. That would make you like nearly 60.

Actually I didn't mean it to sound like it sounded. Really I didn't. heypartner conformed completely to the thread and I was just making a comment on how old the ablum was and when it came out more than anything.

I cannot remember the first cassette tape, but it was probably something like Milli Vanilli.

    But the first CD...

I had just heard "Outshined" on Z-Rock around the same time my parents bought me my first CD player...must have been around 1992 and I was about 12. It was like a holy experience the first time I opened the packaging, and read through the liner notes while listening to that full CD-quality sound. To this day I still only buy CDs out of habit (or perhaps addiction born out of nostalgia).

It was either this or Heart: Little Queen. Purchased new for about $4.99 at some grocery store on Bellaire and Westlyn that has LONG since disappeared (Fed Mart maybe?).
