I called for McHale to be fired months ago and have repeatedly said that Morey should be judged on wins and losses rather than by cool Bill Simmons articles. So I can't speak for the board but I haven't given a pass to them. The Lin trade was about saving Les $15 million and clearing his cap figure. There's no way in hell Les wanted to pay Lin $15m to be a sixth man. Zero chance that was happening. Getting Bosh was a potential gain from trading Lin but they were going to trade Lin whether they got Bosh or not.
This is where you anti-Lin bias comes in. Watch the 6th game 4th quarter. Lillard did NOTHING against Lin. And Lin being hot garbage..we'll see.
That makes sense. If the owner mandates the cash saving, I can see it. I just refer back to comments that if no 3rd star could be added, Lin (and I thought Asik) were not going to be traded. Which I guess in GM speak usually means nothing.
Can a mod please lock up this thread or move it to Dish? Lin is no longer a Rockets player and it is quite obvious that some piece of trash, trolling LoF scum is doing his best to keep this thread going to purposely antagonize REAL Rockets fans.
KQT....I think part of it for me is that I HAD become a Rockets fan and was disappointed in the way it all worked out. Years ago, I started following Barry Sanders when he came out of college and became a die-hard Lions fan...still am. I was hoping this was a home for Lin since I liked a lot of what I saw from the Houston community (I have a boss from the Austin area). As far as my attitude, like with Lin fans, there are extremes in the GARM and the posters who insult get under my skin. That being said....this will be my last comment on this topic (unless some really offensive personal comment gets made )
Then you have poor analytical skills. You should've realized that you didn't list a single legit PF. And considering that the western conference playoff teams had Blake Griffin, Serge Ibaka, Zach Randolph, Lamarcus Aldridge, Tim Duncan, David Lee and Dirk Nowitzki, lacking a solid PF is a big deal. Terrence Jones at PF was a huge weakness that got exploited. You should've also realized that Asik is entirely redundant which limits his effectiveness and that Lin was inconsistent the entire season.
