Sounds like a spurious confession. So guys was having his house demolished, was really pissed off, killed the teenagers on his land and tried to keep it quiet - that doesn't sound like Hamas MO. And Israel attacked Gaza before there was rocket fire and it knew Hamas was linked to the crime, before even this confession which we don't even know was legit? Wow. That reality really undermines that action that Israel is taking here. Right now it no longer seems Israel was acting defensively but was indeed the aggressor.
If they are illegal, they should be removed. Edit: By the way, Israel has removed illegal settlements before. Unfortunately, that didn't stop the terror against Israel at all.
Even Israeli intelligence question whether Hamas told him to do it. You can just say things like this unsubstantiated and you start to sound like Bigtexx. Also your stand on the creation of Israel. You are saying, it's ok that Palestinians were ethnically cleansed out and that Palestinians should just let it go now and live in their little enclave?
What do you think about Yesidians being unquestionably ethnically cleansed out now by Sunni Islamists?
You mean Yazidis? I think the world needs to step up and take action. Not just for them but because the ISIS is a threat that is bigger than Al Qaeda and the Taliban combined. But you are still dodging the question. You act like the Palestinians lost a war and should deal with the redrawing of a map - but that is not what happened. They were brutally ethnically cleansed out, and that is why Arabs attacked in 1948. The narrative is always spun differently - almost comically if it was not so tragic.
I didn't say that the Arabs attacked out of nowhere. I said the Palestinians were attacked, they were massacred, there women and children were lined up and shot, and that is why the Arabs attacked. That was in response to you asking what the root cause of Arabs attacking on May 15, 1948 was.
There were borders laid out, and Israel(or those that would soon become Israel) attacked and captured land and villages that weren't included in those borders. That's called stealing land. That all happened before You appear to be okay with that for some reason.
Sorry, yes, I was in a rush and didn't check what the proper word in English is. The threat is the shared ideology of ISIS, Al Qaeda and the Taliban. They all share a common ideology. You are acting like they are completely separate phenomena, which they aren't.
Great defense of Israel ethnic cleansing you have. It is sort of like the Serbs ethnically cleansing the Bosnians saying : "why are you complaining about us and not the genocide in Rwanda between the two ethnic groups?
Be honest Glynch.... If Israel wasn't an ally of the evil capitalist empire known as the United States and this was instead two random ethnic groups battling it out, you wouldn't even bother posting an opinion. The Israel-Palestine conflict is a proxy war for liberals and conservatives to fight in the media and on the internet, battling it out for moral and intellectual superiority. Few issues bring about as many nose in the air posts when people get a date wrong, the name of a party wrong, show a lack of knowledge about one aspect of the issue from 50 years ago, etc. It's the ultimate fight for liberals to show their superiority to the Neanderthals that make up the conservative movement. Amirite?
True. Among other problems with such a thought without context is it sort of hard to this type of control with random assassinations of leaders, both political and military with the top leaders having to flee to ohter countries where Israel still makes attempts to assassinate them.
Definitely agree with this. The Israel-Palestinian conflict is important not because it is important, but because "People talk a lot about it, therefore it is important." Like I've said, if Israel and Palestine signed a permanent agreement and started singing "Kumbayah" tomorrow...nothing would really change from a larger perspective. Islamic terrorists would still hate us, we'd still have a presence in the Middle East, there'd still be lots of fighting, etc. etc.
There would be one less conflict in the middle east. I think when Egypt and Israel signed their peace deal it was a big deal even though there were still terrorist groups, and people that hated the U.S. Because solving one conflict doesn't solve all conflicts isn't a reason not to work on solving the one conflict. Usually even when I disagree with your reasoning, I can at least see how you arrived at it. In this case your reasoning doesn't seem to make much sense.
Dude, please learn how to use the quote function. You've been here too long for that mistake to keep happening. LOL To the rest of your post, none of what you said disproves my point. You posted a lot of arguments that were once again conservative against liberal. This is just that. When conservatives and liberals aren't going to fight each other over an issue you don't really care to talk about it here. There are definitely concerned souls that take up every true humanitarian cause, but unless there is an opportunity to look smart and enlightened as compared to the conservatives, most liberals like yourself will sit out issues.
