Will Wolves clean house to fully rebuild? Wouldn't mind Kevin Martin as a 6th man and Barea as our backup point.

All players who are expiring this season, wouldn't mind picking up a couple of them, Turiaf for backup C wouldn't be bad, Barea backup PG, Moute for wing depth, Shved for wing/point depth.

Prospect, that's all he is right now. As Dan Patrick said this morning, Cavs aren't banking on him.

Bennett LOL (But but but he had a great summer league!!!)

And a late first round pick.

    GET EXCITED MINNESOTA!!!

I guess the Cavs didn't want to wait til next year & sign Love out right without giving up anything. The ol' "a bird in hand is worth 2 in the bush" routine.

Now after this is finalized; Marion, Allen etc. should be available.

If Wiggins pans out it would take more than Kevin love to get him.

So he'll be better than Jordan? The Cavs not banking on him is the probably the best thing to ever happen to him.

Keeping the veterans might actually be the best thing for Minnesota. The last thing you want is a young potential star like Wiggins picking up bad habits just filling up the stat sheet on a horrible team. He has veterans that can show him the ropes (same for Bennett). Bennett had a lost season but that doesn't mean he can't be a contributor.

Why do poeple today keep going for instant absolute judgement when the players involved (especially here) likely have numerous years of basketball ahead of them?

Exactly! Why isn't this so obvious to everybody?

Cavs get Love for a late 1st round pick, Fool's Gold (Bennett) and Wiggins.

LeBron will be 30 in December. Over the next 5 years, can anyone here argue Love won't be better than Wiggins?

This trade is the slam dunk of slam dunks for Cleveland. For Minnesota, it's good for them too because Wiggins may turn out to be a special player, eventually. He definitely isn't one now.

My guess is Waiters, Thompson, and that Miami 1st will eventually be packaged to get a rim protector. If Nerlens Noel shows promise, I could see that as a good trade. Waiters has already requested to be traded to the 76ers.

Its all fun and games until Love changes his number after being traded to the Cavs because it was retired by Nate Thurmond in 1977.

LeBron going back to 23? Didn't he go on a crusade to have #23 retired league wide to honor MJ?

So you're gonna be that troll.

    I'll be your huckleberry.

The Cavs didn't do anything in terms of work to l and the greatest player on the planet. They just happened to exist in Ohio near Akron. Lebron wanted to go home and that wasn't because the Cavs were set to win more than us.

You seem to have this notion that this coming season the Rockets are worse. Well the offseason isn't even over and training camp is more than two months away. Cry all you want for the Mavs offering our role players Max money but I won't. Morey found Chandler in the dumpster and will find another one.

Well, I think I will really enjoy watching the Wolves over the next few years. Bennett intrigues me, he looks fine. Rubio is one of the most unusual, interesting players in the league. Pekovic is a beast in the post. Martin, Wiggins and Bennett -- shooting (at least potentially), some defense, some athleticism, some shot creation.

Fit makes sense, talent is there, flair is there. I feel giddy about them.

It was a dumb crusade. I think he was just parrotting Pat Riley, who's on the same crusade. I'm glad LeBron got some sense and forgot about it.

Yes, he's going back to 23, after asking fans on social media.

    He did. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4650907

Just more hot air from LeBron. ;)

Just like leaving Miami was about "going home" (and not ditching Bosh/Wade for the new cool kids on the block!).

Woj reports that Love would commit to signing a 5 year max contract with Cleveland in summer 2015. This would look to make a ton of sense for him right now: talented teammates and the extra year and dollars that only his own team, Cleveland, is allowed to offer.

But what if things go really badly in Cleveland? If somehow Lebron and Love and Irving hate each other, if Dan Gilbert gets caught on tape making a Donald Sterling-type comment, if LeBron or Irving suffers a catastrophic injury, then what? These are very unlikely events but not impossible. Remember when Dwight Howard and Nash joined the Lakers and everyone was excited about that super team?

Commitment or not, there is nothing legally to bind Kevin Love next summer.

The same applies to the team: If Love doesn't live up to his superstar status or suffers a catastrophic injury or LeBron hates him and wants him out, does Cleveland still offer him a 5 year max deal?
