Don't see why Ash is blaming the SS for the tag... he did snap it down there. Ash is watching it in slow motion which distorts things. Better question is why was Grossman trying to throw the runner out at 3rd?
Was looking at Brad's splits http://espn.go.com/mlb/player/splits/_/id/31591/brad-peacock Excellent June Decent May Bad April Terrible July Just no consistency.
I guess this is the third start in a row he's had an early blow up. Something seems like it's up with him. He's certainly been better.
Actually, from April - June, he got constantly better. Then collapsed in July. Maybe the heat got to him

The longer I see Peacock, the more I believe in FIP. Obie has always had a lower FIP than his ERA would dictate, and his recent stint has shown he can be a 7IP guy that gives up 2-3 runs (more consistent with his FIP). Peacock has generally had an ERA MUCH lower than his FIP... starting to see that come to fruition more. I would just be curious to know how much longer he has or if they have just given up on him but continue to throw him out there until his replacement is ready.
Peacock's ERA last year and this year are higher than his FIP (Both are terrible). Peacock's 1st time through the order he gives up a .964 OPS. His 2nd time through a .642 OPS, and then the 3rd time a .903 OPS. I think Peacock needs to be moved to the bullpen permanently.
