what makes it even funnier is, they wont trade drgaic at all now because bledsoe wont be their next year. morey wont trade for bledsoe because it is a 1 year deal and his bird rights dont get transferred so we wont be able to resign him going forward. 300 pages wasted on a magical suns trade. so who wants rondo?
Why couldn't we re-sign Bledsoe? Even if his bird rights don't transfer, we could still re-sign him. If we can trade for Bledsoe, baring a wink wink agreement he would re-sign next offseason, I would do it. Say we trade Jones, Capela and Pelicans first for Bledsoe, cut all unguaranteed contacts, trade Dorsey and Motiejunas Howard- 22.4 Harden- 15.8 Ariza- 8.2 Beverley- 1.7 Daniels- .95 Johnson- .6 + Roster space cap holds 2.5 = 52 million Next seasons salary cap is 66.5 million, so we'd be left with about 14.5 million in space, plenty to offer Bledsoe a full max, that's of course if he indeed stays healthy and plays up to par. Bledsoe/Beverley Harden/Daniels/Johnson Ariza Howard Would need work, but a great nucleus for a championship team in my opinion. Again, this whole little made up scenario would hing on the unlikely event that we get Bledsoe and his agent to agree to a wink wink deal to re-sign if we traded for him.
My sausages say there were also two other options in play: we're getting both, or neither. And my sausages confirmed it's happening SOOOONNN!
He heard some info and passed it on. You're expecting minute by minute updates straight from the front office?
Guess this stuff is getting to me... I had a dream last night that we traded for Dragic and it only cost us a 2nd RD Pick! I woke up at 3AM and that was what I had just dreamed. I normally don't dream much and I've never dreamed about a BBall trade. So there it is. If we have any clairvoyants that can tell me WTF that means have at it.
If Bledsoe actually takes the QO, which at this point I still feel makes no sense, then we can probably call off this deal.
Still holding out for Bledsoe, uh or was it Dragic? Holding out hope for one of the two, it has been written.
Time to get unconventional here fellas. We all want a true game changer. Call me crazy, but I'm thinking Rocky from 3 Ninjas. Yes, he might be a middle-schooler, but he's a freaking ninja, and when thuggish schoolyard ruffians steal his crush Emily's bike, he has no problem playing them two-on-two for it (partnered with his brother Colt). He won the game for his team on quite possibly the most athletic play in basketball history: a soaring two-handed jam from the foul line. Once again, he's in middle-school, he's a ninja, and he can dunk from the foul line wearing jeans and a sweatshirt. Yes please.
Beverley, Prigioni, Canaan and Smith would be a bit of a log jam, not in the sense of too much talent, but 4 players on guaranteed contracts at one position is a bit much. If we ended up dumping off Canaan somewhere in another trade, it would plenty of make sense. Beverley/Prigioni would also be a nice little rotation at the point for the rest of the season. Prigioni is 37 I don't know how much he has left in his tank, but he should be serviceable with his excellent 3pt shooting for the rest of the season.
