Another reason why you need an established coach and not a run of the mill pathetic, clueless, joke of a coach like McHale, possibly the worst in the NBA. If Rockets want to attract real high caliber free agents like Allen instead of the likes of Ish Smith, get a reputable coach in there and things will fall in place.

This love with the useless McHale will take us nowhere.

Howard came here to play with Harden and because of Dream. McHale had very little to do with Howard coming here.

If you think McHale can lead us anywhere, so be it. To me, McHale is a bottom end coach and is holding the Rockets back. I am sorry if you don't see that.

 

Are you lacking in basic reading comprehension? The offer from the Cavs is there. It's for the veteran minimum. Allen wants more.

This is a fan forum. People complain about things all the time. Posters complain about Harden's D or lack thereof incessantly despite knowing he is locked in as a Rocket for his contract, likewise TJ's D or DMo's softness etc. etc. yet if it is McHale, the apologists cry foul. And I didn't bring it up out of nowhere. I brought it up because it was mentioned in the article about playing for a great, veteran coach.

IIRC, the Cavs used their room exception on Mike Miller and can now only offer minimum salary to Ray Allen or any other free agent. I wonder which other decent teams has more to offer salary-wise than HOU does (roughly $4.8M left on the MLE and all of the BAE).

 

Why is everyone acting like this is a HUGE deal? He is entering his 18th season and is a bit player with his game naturally declining and there is a real question about how well he will do without James next to him.
