Regarding Harden's reaction to the injury - did he approach PG, saw the leg, and just walked away because he was just in shock at the sight of it?
Yes he did. More like, he's going over to say 'you ok man' and help him up, then sees the leg and is like 'MEDIC'
Who were the guys in the NRL who got injured that way? The only one I could think of is Jharal Yow Yeh, and he never came back.
PG will never be the same after that. Tis the crappy life of a pro athlete, one moment changes years of hard work and any future potential. He'll probably still be able to play, but never at the level he was before. Guess PacerTom won't be trolling our boards anymore now that his team doesn't have a chance to make it to the finals anymore...pity ...karmas a b**** isn't it...
They hadn't really had a chance to make the finals the last few years. They were only good because they were in such a crappy conference. Switch 'em to the West, and they're an 8 seed if lucky. Sure, this year they may have been regarded as 'best in the East' (although the Bulls were a serious challenge) - but that's hardly a point of note in a resume is it?
Impressive how the board reacted to that post (it looks like a classy board). I feel sorry for the Pacers.
Taniela Tuiaki is one that broke his ankle too and for what ever reason it just didn't recover enough to allow him to play again.
Yow yeh IIRC had multiple unsuccessful surgeries. Something like 8 times because on the initial surgery it wasn't set properly, Eduardo of arsenal time came back good, Aaron Ramsay came back after that shocking tackle, Anderson silva is coming back he says 95% Atm, Antonio Valencia came back as well, it is a gruesome injury but there is hope, but I do not understand these people suggesting it is better than an ACL tear because "bone heals better". Many of my friends / players in the nrl have had multiple knee reconstructions and continue to play at a high level.
Pacertom is a good and respectful poster. He's not a troll at all, and I hope he sticks around. It's great to have people like that in the NBA Dish.
clippy is okay, but he spends more of his time obsessing over Kobe than talking about his own team. What went off the deep end and no longer posts seriously because of his failed bold predictions.
If someone started a thread like this on Clutchfans, you would see 2 full pages of "IB4TL" and LOFs agreeing with the OP before it gets locked SMH...
Yeah, I'm still here. I was on a mini-vacation and accommodated the wife who wanted a weekend at the beach with no phone, no laptop, no TV-watching. Thus I was unaware until I saw a restaurant bar TV tuned to ESPN Sportscenter, with the topics lines up on the left, one of which was "Paul George serious injury". This was sometime on Saturday afternoon. What an awful turn of events. The Pacers can't even really make use of an injured player exception, since they are too close to the luxury tax limit to do so, without making trades to shed other salary. The owner won't pay luxury taxes, period. yuck. 58 wins, to hoping for 0.500, just like that...
and, no, that wasn't my thread at Pacers Digest. People who start worthless threads like that over there are shut up pretty quick, not just by moderators, but by the other posters.
