so... I started reading back the posts and comments and reading those comments made me realize how one sided I was in trying to defend my country's reputation even though I do not agree with a lot of the acts and views, especially with not reaching for peace.

I think that in this time, most people are educated enough or have already "picked sides", and there is no need for me to explain my fear of Hamas and the Islamic Jihad, nor the need of Israel to defend its citizens from terror threat.

However I did find out that some of those people here are Palastinians, so I call for peace negotiation with them.

I, as the self proclaimed representative of Israel in Clutchfans, support the Palastinian right for self determination based on the 67' border lines as a 2 state solution. Israel, Egypt and Jordan will be responsible for the economic development of the Palastinian state, in the goal for being self sufficient with in 15-20 years.
Do you, the representative of the Palastinians in Cluthfans, acknowledge the right of Israel to exist as a Jewish state under the 67' border lines and no further demands for land will be called upon?

For those who urge non-violence resistance to the Israelis as the way to go, good news.

Boycott of Israel Spreads in European Civil Society over Gaza War, Could Cost $5 bn/ yr

    By Juan Cole | Aug. 3, 2014 |

    By Juan Cole

The ill-considered and remarkably brutal Gaza war likely will give further impetus to the Boycott, Sanction and Divestment movement by Western civil society to pressure Israel on its illegal actions toward the Palestinians
. A thoroughgoing such European set of sanctions could cost Israel as much as $5 bn a year and more. Roughly a third of Israeli trade is with Europe, and the EU is Israel’s largest single trading partner.

Unite, the largest British trade union, has now resolved to campaign for adoption of BDS against Israel.

Not Arab (wife is Assyrian) but the 1967 borders would be ideal. If the 1967 borders were agreed upon by both parties and an Arab nation breeched those borders, the USA would come down hard on the invader.

I'm just not sure if the Palastinians will agree with that, I wish they do and it will give me great hope for the future

There will always be a strong minority on both sides against it. However the 1967 lines is the best the Arabs will get... They don't have the military of infrastructure to get more.

I don't think the Jews would agree to it. While 40% of Jews in Israel are anti-West Bank expansion, a majority still support it.

Ultimately both sides may be forced to accept it.

For now I'm not calling all the jews or all the arabs, I'm just truly interested in the Palastininan opinion in here, not filtered through politicians or the media

So Israel hit another school again... More children dead again....last time the UN gave 17 warning to not hit the location.....ignored....provably did the same again this time....ruthless and extreme nation....no longer a rational actor in my eyes....place them in the same books as Iran.

How about the internationally recognized borders that the U.N. declared? Or even the 1967 borders prior to their military conquest?

How can they get all of these lands when the people have no where to go. Either they kill all the palestinians or they don't get the land.

Apartheid cannot hold with the Palestinians to equal or excede the number of Jews in the combined area very soon.

Anybody else intensely ashamed that the United States enables the Israeli invasion and killing of so many Palestinians when we could put a stop to it very quickly?

And this is exactly my point-
I am trying here to find a palastinian to agree to a 67' line 2 state solution, and the next response is: Jewish state is racist, Ethnocracy ect...
So that proves it (until i could find a real palastinian here that will agree to that idea) that the palestinians, with the support of some of you guys, do not believe in the right of a jewish state to exist, so why are you being so two faced about it? Just say it and we could have a real discussion.
It is an odd thing, why would the jews want a country of their own and a military of their own and not just spread around the world and hope for their own countries to protect them like they have done in the past 2000 years?
That is the real discussion in approaching to a real solution, do you agree to the right of a jewish state to exist?
(Just for the record- more than a million arab israelies live as a full rights citizens inside the jewish state, not being persecuted and practicing their religion more freely than in europe and USA, some of them serve in the Israeli army)

I always somewhat sided with Israel due to the jihadist extremist views but unfortunately Israel is showing they are no different and have no respect for human life.

If we stop it, Hamas will continue with their tunnels and this whole thing will repeat

And with trying to find here someone to speak with about a real solution-
Israel should stop firing missiles, even if Hamas continues to shoot, the Gazza people have suffered too much out of the Hamas relentless no concern for their lives, in one point a strong country has to stop for the sake of the palastinians even if the price is having missiles fired on her civilians.
That is it, enough is enough and time to stop and hope that the palastinians will understand that choosing war is not in their benefit.

Good luck coming to a compromise even here. These posters just parrot the Palestinian leadership, such as it is.

I think most people want a two state solution but it is hard to nail down the specifics.

There we are. Glynch does not want Israel to exist.

I guess you haven't been sincere about wanting peace this whole thread. Oh you want peace, with Israel off the map.
