Astros recalled OF Domingo Santana from Triple-A Oklahoma City.

 

He went into a pretty bad slump after his bad experience in the show. Appears to have gotten back on track over the last 5 games though. Mental approach is huge in this game, maybe he's a little more comfortable in his second chance.

Gonna be like the Hunger Games between Marisnick, Hoes, Santana and Grossman. Hopefully one of them takes advantage.

 

Even more curious since Springer is due to come off the DL on Tuesday.

 

I'm pretty sure this was a technicality move, based on roster availability. The only healthy position players currently on the 40 man are him, Villar and Stassi.

Plus Tucker and Aplin, the other OF's at OKC, aren't subject to the rule V, so they don't need to be added to the 40 man this offseason. Once added they would take up one of those precious spots.
