Only reason I ask is because AT&T has an S5 Active version with physical buttons. I've never had experience unlocking a phone and just wanted to know if it's easy to do or not. Also, Google search on T-Mobile forums did say that the Walmart plan services LTE, too. So I guess I found that answer.
The battery life is shorter than s5. Nothing drastic but may seem so when there are no legit spare battery chargers let alone oem batteries for sale. The screen is not as bright but at full brightness the g3 is really stunning. The difference isn't enough to consider it something I feel the need to bring up if I have to compare the two phones. LGs keyboard is a big plus opposed to the s5, where I had used Swiftkey as my keyboard. All in all I like them both. But if I had to decide I'd get s5 because Samsung is simply the best and ui friendly. I had the screen Crack on my s5 on 7/16 and thought I'd try my luck with lg until s6 comes out. I have tmobile jump. Been a Samsung guy since s2 and i like my g3 but only have it because of unfortunate circumstances. Hope this helps any.
Got my OnePlus One finally. Its awesome. Can't complain at all. Switched from Sprint to T-Mobile. What a change! Went from no data and being unable to make a phone call in my house to LTE in the living room. I don't even technically need to be ony WiFi. I can probably even stream music in my car around town now! I can also watch a YouTube video without being on WiFi. Welcome to the modern ages! Did I mention this phone is great? Although I feel like the sandstone black back cover is a bit fragile after reading about it rubbing off. I feel as if I'm babying it.
Haven't gotten any yet. I owe one to a guy that gave me his cuz he couldn't buy at the time. That's about it though. Gonna see if my wife wants one too. I'll post here if I get any.
For the Oneplus? Getting one sucks but its so worth it. Great phone for a better price. Cyanogen is awesome, too. I just can't believe how much they are charging for the bamboo back cover ($50). That's absurd. I'll wait and see if any of the others I'm interested in are cheaper. I love the sandstone, though. It feels very nice. I'm just worried about it wearing off, as that's been a problem with people. The battery life on this thing is great, though. I've had it for a week and just charged it for the third time last night. Granted, I'm not a huge power user, and I've only made one call with it, as I only have 100 minutes, but I've averaged about six hours screen on time during eqchcharge.
Nice move! Can't rep you from my phone or I would! Do you have a case for yours? If so, which one? I need one. I'm paranoid that my sandstone stuff is wearing off. I'm using a skinomi screen protector.
I have the official flip case in black from their store before they went out of stock. I really wasn't worried about the back, but rather the screen. The material is top notch and very premium feeling; more so than the sandstone back. Got me the wet install screen protector and have a couple of dry install ones as backup as well.
Would love a invite for the Oneplus one. Actually kinda need it, as my wives HTC One has taken a turn for the worse.
