There's a lot of dark humor in this, and a lot of off-the-wall characters.. believe it or not, the Coen Brothers, or Tarantino, or even Whedon could do it justice.

Never ever ever EVER the W's. Never ever.

I'm surprised Peirs Nnthony books never got a shot

Octavia Butler's Pattermaster series or the XenoGenesis would be good Movies or Series

Walter Moseley's Easy Rawlins Series or even the Leonid McGill series

Piers Anthony had a lot of good series, I read most of them.. Bio of a Tyrant, Battle Circle, Death.. I would be in favor of some of those making their way onto the screen.

Oh, and another one which should be a movie, especially now: State of Fear, by Crichton.. that NEEDS to be made into a movie immediately!

A remake of Lawrence of Arabia, based on the revelatory work of history that recently came out, Lawerence in Arabia, by Scott Anderson. Lawrence turns out to have been far more complex, and far more important to events in the region during WWI than most people are aware of, including the late, great David Lean. He was a highly placed British intelligence operative, and the story is fascinating. A terrific read, by the way.

Great book. Given the rise of Russia under Putin, they could "update" it and be relevant to today.....or just go with the original story set in the 80's.
