Keep in mind that McHales system made Dragic and Lowry hot commodities.

Stay salty in fakerland, you'll fit right in.

Digestion occurred a long time ago....and Lin plopped out where he belonged.

SO, WHY IS THIS THREAD STILL HERE? Zero tolerance for the minions of his cult. He's gone and they should be too.

    Dragic - last year with Rockets 11.7 points 5.3 assists, .462 - .337 - .805 (2 -3 -FT) 2.4 TO's per/game in 26.5 minutes

Looks a lot like Lin's stats last year.

    Really?

Dragic posted a PER of 18.0 in 2012, which is getting up close to all-star level. it actually declined slightly the following year in Phoenix, after he was liberated from the strictures of McHale.

Lin posted a PER of 14.3 - the theoretical "average" player in the league PER is 15.0.

How do these two things look alike? One guy is substantially above average, one is slightly below average.

Lin played with a ball hog and Dragic was allowed to play point guard. My point was that there is no way you could look at 11.7 and 5.3 and think "ALL-STAR" yet Goran overcame that, had an average to good season in 2012-13 and became an all-star last year. Lin actually shot about the same as the 2012-13 Dragic overall and MUCH better from 3 and the foul line.

    He's a bad point guard.

Russell Westbrook plays with the scoring champion.

No matter how many times you get the exterminator over, you will always have roaches in your house.

Dragic's stats when he was a starter (i.e. the last part of the season when Lowry was out) were near Linsanity level and he nearly led a mediocre Rockets team into the playoffs. The difference between Dragic and Lin was that Dragic continued that production in Phoenix while Lin, well, we all know how that turned out. Lin got his money and now gets the limelight in LA. For someone who was probably never better than a backup on a good team or a starter on a really terrible one, it's hard to feel sorry for him in any way.

Look at the stats Dragic was an average shooting (poor from 3) guy who was allowed to play his position in 2012-13. He wasn't a stud by any means and Lin will likely match if not better that production (better shooting).
