I know that there is at least one living, breathing, already born human involved in the situation who deserves consideration that you would refuse.

So do people who think life begins at conception have a birthday party every time they have sex with the hope that they've created life, and a funeral every time their wife (girlfriend etc) have their period for all the lost potential babies that didn't make it?

The problem is that you define "giving consideration" as getting their way and having an abortion-- which means necessarily a dead child a.k. a. "the other party."

DO THE MATH. Every abortion procedure ends with at least one death. Without an abortion option that number falls precipitously-- potentially even to zero.

NO. That would be silly. Most of the times when I'm having sex, I'm hoping NOT to create new life... .so I/we take precaution.

It can't end with a Death if Life hasn't began yet.

Scientifically, before the presence of measurable brain activity, it ends cell division/reproduction.

Is the key word here "measurable"?

You keep saying "baby" and we keep saying "fetus". That pretty much defines this thread.

... and in the original Latin fetus means "little one." Isn't that cute? Those mean medical scientists chose a word indicating affection to describe that life in utero.

There will never be unanimity on this issue, but there will be law. That law will reveal something of our national character as it reflects our values. I get that abortion is an easy choice in some ways (when you close your heart, your mind, and your eyes), but it is a disastrous choice in reality.

More pregnancies are aborted by god/nature than by man.

Your anthropomorphism is irrational. It takes a developed neural network to be aware, not just a potential network.

I never said a word about "awareness." My anthropomorphism is fated by the unique, human genetic code that the child carries in utero.

Why is a unique genetic code sacrosanct? Because any one might be the next Einstein?
Because that is statistically ludicrous and logically argued by the opposite, any one could be the next Hitler.

As with the other lost babies, let Nature take its course. Who are we to decide whether or not an innocent child is flushed or given a shot at life?

I was only being anthropomorphic because these beings are human genetically. How can you NOT be anthropomorphic about them?

Statistics? It's not for us to decide.

"Who are we..." questions are provocative not literal.

Let me ask you something - if you could pick on of these to save from destruction, which would you choose?

    A 5 year old girl

    Or

    A single cell human zygote.

    Just curious.

Soo...life begins at conception only when it's convenient for your abortion debate??

Current law reveals a pragmatic, reasonable approach. Previous laws banning abortion reveals a backward society.
