More reading comprehension failures. Instead of reiterating my point a dozen more times, how about you actually go back and read what I posted? No, they weren't. The mere fact that a tiny minority participated in hostilities against Israel does not let you make asinine generalizations like the one above. What you call propaganda, the rest of the world calls reality in relations to the laws of war. Occupying territory is an act of war. Attacking the occupying power is an act of resistance. ROFL @ they don't disproportionately attack Gaza. You are either incredibly stupid or just plain naive... most likely a combination of both. 1,300+ dead, most of whom are civilians, compared to 50+, most of whom are soldiers is clear evidence of a disproportionate response. Get your head out of your ass. Good false analogy. The US would have to have been occupying Mexico for a few decades, restricting all movement of people and goods in and out of Mexico, collapsing their economy, and creating a humanitarian crisis for years for your pathetic argument to even hold any resemblance to a true analogous situation. You don't have the intel report, so how can you say there was no military target there? See how idiotic your flawed reasoning is? And of course there is a difference, yet you still fail to see the hyperbole that ridicules your line of thinking. Geez, you just love engaging in fallacious reasoning. We have a red herring, a false analogy, and an association fallacy all in a few sentences. I don't even have to discredit this portion of the post, you've already done in for me. Thanks When you have a government that has a history of indiscriminately and disproportionately attacking others, that supposed 'intel report' means nothing. If there was any sort of military advantage gained by Israel in destroying the power plant, they would have stated it when questioned numerous times. Instead they have done the same thing they always do when caught committing war crimes, state "it's under investigation" while nothing ever comes out of the investigation. Again failing to back up your pathetic claim that it was 'collateral damage'. Keep backpedaling, this is quite easy and fun for me. 1. The Peel Commission was retracted and formally rejected by the Woodhead Commission. 2. The Peel Commission was rejected by the 20th Zionist Congress. 3. The only 2 state solution that was formally proposed was in 1947. But go on spewing your revisionist history. [
Rather than continuing to take this nonsense apart point by point, I'll just say that it's pretty obvious that you don't know what proportionality means despite the fact that I posted the definition earlier. There's really no point continuing this with you because it seems a lot like willful ignorance on your part especially when you post things like "No, they weren't. The mere fact that a tiny minority participated in hostilities". You don't seem to realize that you just posted essentially "no they didn't" and then immediately pointed out that they did....It's ridiculous, most likely intentionally
More backpedaling, lmao. 1. It is clearly disproportionate: http://www.theguardian.com/politics...-response-hamas-deliberately-disproportionate http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-4551456,00.html https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/n...e-violence-sends-millions-to-aid-palestinians http://www.huffingtonpost.com/joshua-gleis/israels-disproportionate-_b_5597230.html Read up on the Dahiya doctrine: Richard Falk wrote that under the doctrine, "the civilian infrastructure of adversaries such as Hamas or Hezbollah are treated as permissible military targets, which is not only an overt violation of the most elementary norms of the law of war and of universal morality, but an avowal of a doctrine of violence that needs to be called by its proper name: state terrorism." 2. You made a generalization that Palestinians were at war with Israel in 1948 and 1967. That is false. A completely insignificant minority of Palestinians (0.5% of the total military strength) engaged in hostilities against Israel. Learn what a generalization is before looking clueless.
Just checking in - Has anybody won the argument about which side is right yet? IMO, your great grandchildren will be arguing with the other sides great grandchildren about the latest Gaza incursion. The two sides aren't even working under the same premises about what military conflict is. Hamas and Israel are trying to force each other to submit to defeat, but their efforts have exactly the opposite effect on the other side - one side's weapons just steel the resolve of the other side. Someone needs to come up with a plan that doesn't involve acquiescence. I'm not going to bother to check back in, so go ahead and flame me. I was just struck by how completely ineffective at forcing a change in behavior in the opponent each side is, while continuing to try it over and over. Good luck to those of you who think your side is still going to win.
No winners, only losers. Mostly innocent civilians. http://m.thenation.com/article/180783-five-israeli-talking-points-gaza-debunked
I agree. I came to the conclusion a long time ago that the Middle East part of the world are pretty much bat s**t crazy. If the leaders there would spend some of that oil money on education for itself and its neighbors it would be a good start. One day that well will run dry
http://rt.com/usa/176820-pentagon-idf-unrwa-ammunition/ Our tax dollars and munitions going to support a massacre of innocent human beings. If this doesn't make you sick to your stomach....
IDF Soldier David Dovadia tweets/posts "I just killed 13 childrens and ur next f****** musilms go to hell b******." That's exactly what he wrote. Only the best and brightest soldiering it up world wide!
Sorry it looks like it's some sort of social network. Not twitter. It doesn't even look like FB. I saw it on this guy's page bc a mutual friend shared it. https://m.facebook.com/mzeyara?_rdr
What is your complaint going to do? Your internet outrage? Nothing, absolutely nothing. This is war and both sides have plenty of ammunition , mental and physical, to go on forever. Words like genocide mean nothing. You either donate money to wounded Palestinians, which NO ONE in this thread has done, or you get off your ass and tell them to leave or forever face death (children, grandchildren, etc). UAE, Qatar, Egypt have to find a way to help them of they truly believe in anything ---- but they dont, they're just slaves to oil money
^I was simply sharing. As this thread has proven, the world is all sorts of messed up. Plenty of blame to go around.
I think what the thread has shown is thatIsraelis are every bit the terrorists and scumbags that Hamas are. The difference is that my tax dollars go to the scumbag Israelis.
Hamas is a political entity. Israelis are not. Their government is. If you can't discern the difference, then perhaps you should go back to school, with all due respect. As for the Israeli government, they should resign in shame. With smart munitions, there is no rational excuse for the number of "accidents" that have occured. It's become preposterous.
At the very least I'm all for cutting foreign aid to Israel. I don't want to be a part of helping to fund Israel's irresponsibility. I do find it quite ironic that our nation is imposing sanctions on a nation such as Russia that has caused far less carnage and destruction.
