“There are almost no characters in this story, and almost no dramatic confrontations, because most of the people in it are so sick and so much the listless playthings of enormous forces. One of the main effects of war, after all, is that people are discouraged from being characters.”

The Nazis would have arguably never been defeated without the airstrikes. Certainly, people weren't able to defeat them from the inside.

Hamas needs to be defeated for good this time around.

If ifs and buts were berries and nuts than we'd all have a merry christmas...

One war will end only to start another so it doesn't really matter.

You are not wrong. There are numerous countries who despise having Jewish neighbors.

did you just use dresden to justify a mass atrocity?

wow. that is so many shades of wrong.

Try not to forget about the July 20th plot and the White Rose.

How about you post the before and after of Hiroshima, and Nagasaki?

Are you literally advocating for a Dresden-style fire-bombing on the Gaza Strip, or something similar? Your thinking seems very irrational---and dangerous.

Even Allied POWs in Dresden at the time consider it to be a war crime.

This is what the mindset of many on this thread alludes to. They are basically willing to nuke an entire people. Sick.

Why do they need bombs this big to take out a few Hamas members? Clearly, they are ok with collateral damage.

Ok, so why weren't the UN schools targeted BEFORE children were moved in there after they were told to evacuate?

What does everyone here think of Gandhi, Mandela, Malcolm X and Einstein? Were they also terrorist supporters? Are they anti semites?

Some person I have on ignore seems to think it's OK to make 5 posts in a row, instead of putting everything in one post. It's not.

This old grandpa seems to be having a tough time reading multiple posts in a row by same poster.

It is too bad you have trustme on ignore. You just missed learning something and some outstanding quotes from famous personalities regarding Zionis-- Ghandi, Einstein, Malcolm X and Mandela.
