What's the exact quote? IIRC, he was saying they were trading for him knowing he'd sign long term. He was alluding to a side deal, not a pen and paper deal.

I don't understand The whole, agreeing or not agreeing to re-sign before getting trade thing, has been going on for as long as i'v been watching the nba (5 years, im young) why are people acting like its against the rules and new?
