No one will admit it, but I think Lowry might be one.

Didn't Lowry sign before any of these comments were made?

I guess the NBA found its villians, and their minions in the press are busily spinning the narrative.

Whatever. Dumb article is dumb. Players will come for 1) money, and 2) chance to win. Words that come out of Harden and Howard's mouths are of little consequence to those decisions.

But the NBA needs its bad guys, so spinspinspin away...

We missed out on Lowry due to comments that were made a month after his decision. Interesting news.

All players were basically signed before the comments were made.

yup. plus Toronto offered more money and I'm sure our offer had several contingencies and wouldn't be able to be consumated until there was resolution on the Melo or Bosh front.

He took the guaranteed money and ran.

Lol, he is so bandwagoning right now, because it's more newsworthy to insinuate everyone is butthurt over those comments that have obviously been reduced down to amplify that one talking point.

He's already selling us down the river too because he's implying that the duo of Howard and Harden have had at least a couple of years to get it right. Really showing his ignorance there, considering Harden has only had his lead role for a couple of years and Dwight has only been here a year.

LOL. Tell me what FA left on the market after these comments are made.

But honestly is it so hard for players to figure out what type of people Harden and Howard are? Harden is always considered weird, even himself admits it. And Howard can never stay serious.

They both are great fantastic players, but they are not good leaders. Problem is, they think they are.

Name FA left after the comments made. You will see how much it hurts next year and 2016.

Our only chance is someone like LeBron and Durant level, where they know they can be the true leader of the team if they come here. Then it falls directly to elite but not all star level players.

Of course these comments dont affect us fans but imagine you play for the Rockets and you're not Harden or Dwight, its not cool to be called a role player out loud even if you know it.

Jordan talked plenty of noise about his teammates. Although Harden and Howard aren't Jordan _ it happens.

you really think these comments will impact FA signings in 2016?

Don't ever get married then. People say **** all the time that they don't mean or is misconstrued. If you are continually holding onto little things like this, you'll never be able to be successful at the big picture things in life.

Now if we blow next year, Harden plays bad defense again and Howards back goes out - sure we will have a hard time signing anyone.

But if we make improvements, progress and show better team play over the course of the year and get out of the first round..... i've got this weird sneaking suspicion (let's call it logic for those that can't comprehend), that we'll be able to sign free agents that want to come play with us.

I've frequently wondered how Jordan would be percieved in today's media market. It's been widely accepted that reporters turned the other way for him and this breed of reporters wouldn't do the same. Add in Social Media deathnell Twitter and I could see Mike killing Pippen, Longley, et al during a game as he's on the bench.

Ric "you a Rockets fan??" Bucher?? Yeah, he doesn't have an agenda at all.....

The bigger issue here is that guys like him actually have a voice, and a following. The state of media and journalism right now is laughable. This is regarding something as meaningless as sports, but the fact that you can't even get a balanced perspective on things like finance and world events is even more troubling. Willful ignorance is being garnished like a weapon, and the press is leading the charge.
