Actually, Lin's greatest value to the Rockets was his penetration when Harden was off the floor. That was the whole idea behind putting Jeremy as the 6th man -- someone to serve as the offensive catalyst with the second unit when Harden was off the floor and to slightly lower his usage when on it.

Right now, the Rockets could use more proven commodities when it comes to creating offense off the dribble. I don't think the sky is falling because of Lin and Parsons' absence, but Sessions or a similar role player would go a long way to mitigating it.

rather make Goran or even bledsoe happen.... and seein as I doubt they want a pg back... Goran or Bledsoe/Bev/Cannan is plenty...
If its not gonna work with Phx, then I'd sign him cheapish, and be able to deal Bev if a better pg option became available...

You realize Rondo has played in less than 50% of his games in the last 4 years due to injury, right?

I want to agree with you. It makes sense that Lin would really help with Harden off the court. Rockets played better with Beverley when Harden was off the court, last season.

Agree, buit i'd add that the emergence and improvement of Harden and Howard playing together will be the biggest difference. If TJ and Bev are the only way to make us better (or signing the elusive 3rd star), we might as well not even watch this season.

What's the catch? He hops around too much for there to be no catch.

It sounds good in theory, but Harden averages 38 of 48 minutes. With McHale still on board and the Rockets' dearth of offensive options, I don't really see that changing anytime soon. Sessions is going to have to play with Harden at some point, and he is not the reliable 3-point shooter Harden needs to open the floor for him or a defender to cover his weaknesses. I would be more interested in Kent Bazemore than I would with Sessions because he at least fits on paper with Harden.

Signing Sessions would be awesome he would help our 2nd unit tremendously. Rather play him than any other PG not named Beverly

Goran or Bledsoe are there to be had... just a question of how much u wanna give... Be willing to give Bledsoe the max, pony up the Pelicans pick, another pick or two, TJ or DMo, a couple euros.... I'd prefer Goran cause I think he'll be a lil cheaper....

The only season he played on a winning team, he shot 3s pretty well. It's difficult to gauge a player's 3pt shooting just from raw numbers since we don't know how many of them were open. Lin shot 32%, 34%, and 36% from 3s the past 3 years. It's not a coincidence that he shot better when he's playing with better teammates.

Sessions doesn't have to be a world beater be a positive for this team. He just has to be a decent bench player similar to Lin, which is not difficult.

I'm not in favor of it.... but obviously Phx doesn't want to pay Bledsoe the max... any team could sign him to an offer sheet for the max, then Phx has the choice of paying the max or taking whatever assets are offered for a sign and trade....

Personally, I'd rather trade assets for Goran, thereby clearing Phxs logjam at pg and giving them greater ability to allocate that much more to retain Bledsoe...

Barring either of those scenarios, I'd take Sessions...

I wouldn't mind Sessions either, but that hinders Canaan, and possible Nick Johnson.

Do you really want to waste our years with 2 all-stars trying to develop rookies?
