    You don't even need to be proactive, it is automatically invoiced to you, isn't it? I ran a few toll booths on accident in Austin without a tag and I just got mailed an invoice a few weeks later.

    You can get the $11 fine (per toll booth you ran) waived if you buy an EZ Tag.

    However if they can waive them without getting that I recommend a TXTAG.

    Its free (not $15 like ez tag) and the minimum starting balance is $20 and not $40

    It might be too late for this, but if you drive fast enough past the sensors it won't detect your plate. I'm talking about 120 mph minimum.

    I have TXTAG and I like it.

    I think Houston is the only place in Texas that charges a fine as well as the toll fees. Never got any extra fine when going through Austin or Dall tollroads when I used to not have TXTAG
