I listened to that podcast and maybe I zoned out for that part. I know I heard him just throwing out the wiggins package for Dwight, but that we would never do it.

 

I'll try and find it again so I can time stamp it, give me a sec (honestly can't even remember how long into the 1hr pod is was)

 

Appreciate it. I actually already know he has him outside his top 10 now because he put out an article earlier in the summer referring to Harden as "a top 15 player", but generally when I'm listening to his podcasts my ears perk up any time the rockets are discussed and I just don't recall him even bringing up Harden.

 

Gotta agree with Lowe. Harden is the top two guard because others suck. He really needs to play solid defense this season to truly claim that status.

The damage and miles Harden shows in his game is not easy or lazy.

I think he needs less reg season minutes and faith in a solid bench for him to prioritize other things.

Well, it certainly doesn't help that he has a coach that encourages, or at the least, enables Harden's "hero ball" mentality...

 

I would absolutely LOVE to hear his top 10 players... and I would guarantee you that at least 4 of them don't play much defense either.

 

It's near impossible to find 4 players in the entire NBA that plays less defense than Harden.

 

One of them is named Kevin Love... think he's in Zach Lowe's top 10?

you're just a role player on this board carl. easily replaceable with any DD clone. Clutch and Bima are the cornerstones.

 

Kevin Love is not nearly as bad as Harden in terms of either effort or effectiveness.

Zach Lowe, who watches as much game film as any NBA writer out there, knows this. Kevin Pelton, who writes for ESPN and does it more from an analytics perspective, has also noted that none of the "advanced stats" show Love to be a terrible defender.
