You don't get bonus points for effort, if you suck you suck, this isn't grade school.

If Carl is instituting a Harden for Love trade as a win for the Rockets, then he goes further down in my books regarding his basketball IQ.

Who is going to be the primary permieter ball handler and creator? Bev? Daniels? Canaan? Ariza? LMAO

It is obvious where you stand on this. Personally, I would rather someone who is a poor defender due to effort than someone who is just a poor defender regardless. Effort can be encouraged. No matter how much you polish crap, it is still crap. Love absolutely pads his stats BTW. I have seen him abandon his man or defensive schemes just to try and grab a board. Both are stat padders at times as far as I am concerned.

You act as though your opinion is in high regards. I don't always agree with Carl but his knowledge is far superior to yours.;)

Take my support of Carl's comments however you wish, but my issue with Harden goes way beyond being upset with him and demanding that he plays defense. This guy has not shown any dedication to winning. He seems content with some regular season wins and a ****ty playoff appearance. There is overwhelming evidence showing that he didn't follow the coaches' offensive plans on many occasions.

I will freely admit my own player preferences color my comments. I like players who lay it all on the floor and play to win, no matter their talent level. I used to hate Joakim Noah because I am a UK Wildcat and he killed us while in Florida, also because he looks like a fool. But he is now one of the players I have the utmost respect for, just like Patrick Beverly. Yao, Duncan, Isiah Thomas, the list goes one. And for all the **** people throw at Kobe, no one can argue that he is not the most dedicated player in the entire league, and for that alone I am a fan. Harden is the very opposite of these examples. He does not have the fire, the dedication to winning, and his complete lack of defense is just the most glaring aspect of his complacent attitude. I am a Rockets fan, but I'll be damned if I can give a single lick of respect to Harden the player.

Long story short. If I see the same lazy Harden for whatever reason (mchale), Love for Harden sounds really good.

A player gets bonus points for effort in my book, and I suspect in every coach's book as well.

Love isn't exactly a great defender either.

Interesting zach Lowe who I'm sure the majority of you all accept as EXTREAMLY credible, on his podcast said that harden isn't in the top 10 players in basketball anymore.

He also went on to say the player the cavs need is dwight and (jokingly) through out they should offer the rockets wiggins + anyone not named kyrie or LBJ to get him. Then went on to say of coarse the rockets would never do it but was just illustrating how the cavs really need front court defence help in their love trade (alluded to maybe why this is holding up a love trade that the cavs want someone like a mosgov/hickson type from the nugs)

Funny the same things Harden is guilty of I hear Love does. Lazy lack of effort on defense. No accountability and calls teammates out. Things that I have heard of among other things. Of course some of this comes from SAS, but I trust him in locker room stuff not much else.

Anyways gladly trade off Harden for someone but not sure who. Hardens play on the court makes it hard to like him and now when he talks I want someone to punch him in the mouth.

Just stick to practicing basketball and strip clubs.

Do you have a link for that? I'm wondering what his reasoning is.

So is the point of everyone b****ing and crying in this thread just to b**** and cry. James is not going anywhere anytime soon, might as well move on to the next subject. Who cares if you think Kevin Love is better player, they are not going to be swapped, we aren't trading the best 2 in the league for a player on an expiring contract. Start suggesting ways the team can actually improve instead of just whining for the sake of whining and wanting attention (sounds like a popular figure on this board).

Harden's and Howard's comments are all pointing to Chandler. The bromance they all shared is obviously tainted and over now.

i doubt anyone on the team is offended, knowing harden and Dwight are throwing darts towards Chandler.

Does he try? 70% of the time when he defends in the paint he doesn't even raise his hands.

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...in-love-holding-back-the-timberwolves-defense

Have you ever heard an NBA player flat out state that another player couldn't play defense? Tyson Chandler was pretty clear about Love :
    "He can't play D".

    http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nba-b...e-in-halftime-interview--video-091025916.html

You and CH can keep trying to convince yourself that Love can play defense but nobody is buying it.

    http://grantland.com/the-triangle/the-lowe-post-podcast-zach-lowe-and-lee-jenkins/

The whole podcast is about LBJ outside of bball and silver and he only talks about the rockets for about 30 seconds

Blames hardens defence for the reason.

As I never miss a Lowe post podcast ( everyone should listen to them) Lowe isn't very high on harden as during last season with about 20 odd games to go in one of his podcasts he said the MVP of the rockets is dwight and that harden is regressing fast (in respect to his ranking in the league) due to his D (but always said it's easily fixed in his opinion it's jot like his shot was broken or was always injured etc...)

Also remember him saying this on a rocketscast (rockets tv?) last season and CA was totally against it and was trying to convince Lowe the MVP was harden.

So, you're watching a Rockets game, and you basically cheer on all the other players, but you will boo Harden when he has the ball. Is that in essence correct?
