I am speaking from Harden's perspective. Harden shoulders most of the load on offense while everyone feeds off the pressure the defense puts on him. Bev, Ariza and Howard main strength is defense so they are expected to excel in those areas. And Howard's defense seemed like it wasn't as good as his past years before signing with the rockets due to the up and down pace. Harden is expected to create for everyone else within this offense and expends a lot of energy in my opinion, and it's a little too much to ask for someone who was coming off the bench for the majority of his NBA career. BS, idk, but its my opinion. Regurgitating? I never heard of what i said before so i'm just stating what i perceive from watching the Rockets. So chill out.

When Kobe said that offensive systems were for role players, i didn't see the rest of the lakers team get butthurt about it. Anything for hits i suppose.

Really dude. Let's keep in mind a few facts. One, OKCs only finals run was with Harden. With their Big 3 they went to the Finals. With Durant by himself they lost in the second round. With Durant and Westbrook and no Harden they lost in the Western Conference Finals. Which obviously means Harden was an important part of OKC being successful. So for you and everyone that point to his playoff runs with the Rockets as if it's the only time his played in the post season that is something to chew on. At the age of 26 LeBron choked badly in the playoffs against Dallas when he was recognized as the best player in the league. And LeBron has been his teams best player since the day he was drafted. Harden has been his team's best player for only 2 years at ages 23 and 24 which is still younger than LeBron was at his last playoff failure and the one before that in his last season in Cleveland when he was 25. LeBron is undoubtebly the best player in the NBA by a wide margin but what if his team wrote him off at age 24 as someone who would never get it done and cherry picked reasons to bash him? Name a superstar that had it all figured out by age 23 and 24. Kobe? LeBron? Jordan? Shaq? Hakeem? Durant? Paul Pierce? KG? Dwight? This hatred of James Harden on this site is ridiculous and these declarative statements on the next 10 years of his career are a joke. He played defense hard in OKC as a role player. He figured he could save energy on defense as a cornerstone player on the Rockets and now he is realizing he can't. Is he allowed to grow and mature and learn his lessons professionally as we all do? Is he not allowed to stumble, look at himself, and say what can I do better. Maybe it takes the Portland series to be the wake up call. Maybe it takes 3 more years when he will be only 27 like LeBron or 4 more more years like Dwight who is still maturing. Whatever the case I will enjoy the ride as a Rockets fan who is in awe of getting to watch superstar talents like Harden and Dwight play night after night. I was robbed by Yao and Tracy always getting hurt so young and took it for granted that we would always have elite talent. Then I was stuck with the Kevin Martin/Luis Scola era where there was no hope of anything. I get frustrated when we lose just like the next fan, I cuss, I scream, etc but afterwards I'm still thankful that at least we have a chance at something big. And I'm hopeful that injuries don't rob us of a chance to see Harden and Dwight reach their potential. Harden is not going anywhere unless LeBron asks for a trade and that ain't happening so I for one will sit back and enjoy the ride, the highs and the lows. Having 2 All NBA players in my home city who are healthy at the same time is a thrill for me! Hope springs eternal fnow which I did not have before that Saturday in October 2012 when we landed Harden. Sorry for the long post everyone but it's something I needed to say. Good day!

Honestly, for a Dallas Maverick Parsons seems to care a lot about what the rockets feel about him. Morey, Dwight, and Harden don't see what Cuban sees in him. Why is he butthurt about that? You signed a fat deal and smoked Cuban's cigar, go enjoy Dallas and stop worrying about what your former teammates think about you. Or are you butt hurt because you intended to lure them away from Houston with your awesome recruiter skills?

Parsons' is still disgruntled over the fact that Houston didn't give him the opportunity to become that third star/franchise player. Harden's comments I think only reinforced the lack of faith from the organization. That being said, Howard isn't young enough for them to take a wait and see approach and I certainly don't think McHale has the ability to coach anyone up.

The thing with today's salary cap, it's very hard to fit 3 max players on a team and expect to win because you'll end up getting role players on vet minimum salaries.

And role players are needed "to complete the team" as Harden put it.

Just shows Parsons wasn't content with his role. If we had matched him, imagine the disruption in the pecking order on the team.

Chris Parsons sounds like all those fans of a certain ex-Rocket who shall not be named who would spout all these statistics to try to prove their case, without any accompanying narrative or context.

Rockets should just go all KG on Ray Allen on him. "Huh? Who's Chandler Parsons?"

You mean Chris the-lap-dog-of-Lebron Bosh? Naah, he just made a decision based on the money.

James Harden is just putting the ungrateful role player Parsons, the loser overpaid scrub Lin, and the unprofessional cry baby Asik in their places.
