Gotta agree with the best SF of the 1st round series here.

Right...because players at 24 have already maxed out their ceiling. Gotcha.

This is getting out of hand. The media needs a storyline and they are blowing this out of proportion. In saying that, Harden needs to shut the hell up. It's clear that Parson's leaving probably rubbed him the wrong way. The way that Lin's leaving rubbed the Knicks the wrong way. In fact, it feels eerily similar to that situation. I know Harden was just answering the questions but he could have gone about this way differently.

Parsons is one of the biggest trash talkers there is, just ask the Warriors. The Cornerstones need to STFU and let this run it's course. We don't need this on top of all the crap the Rockets have gone through this offseason.

Lol the only thing Parsons had in common with Harden is their awful defense. Other than than they are not close at all.

Chandler was my favorite player over the past three years, but this is just getting downright childish. I don't blame him for taking money and leaving. That was smart on his part. But the guy keeps commenting on us like the ex-girlfriend who just quite can't let go. We're over it CP. LET GO!!!!!

P.s. I have no problem with these comments from Harden. The man is undoubtedly the best player on the team (you could argue D12 but this is my opinion). I'm pretty sure that the players know that they are role guys and are plenty happy to get carried to the playoffs by Harden and Howard.

    My 2 cents.

It's month away from the season and its likely that "role players" don't even care what he said. The media and the fans are the ones that are up in arms about it.

This. So very true and I wish the red koolaid drinkers would calm down and stop being so damn defensive about everything reported, tweeted, posted or said on talk radio. It's becoming rather comical especially all of the faux hatred being directed toward Parsons aka "No longer a role player behind Dwight & Harden". The MFFLs are literally giggling at all of this angst from the red koolaid drinkers.

Mind you this is coming from JLin... the one guy that didn't mine getting chewed up and spit out for the slightest error by Harden and McHale... Two individuals with tremendous flaws of their own... the former of which, who doesn't seem to really care to even acknowledge he has any...

It's the same way Morey calls Players "assets". For some reason the media doesn't like how blunt everyone in the organization is. Harden is right, everyone else besides him and Dwight are role players. Everyone can't be a star, you need role players. Morey is right too, every player is an asset.

I guess everyone wants them to lie. Me personally I wish they would just be quiet even if they are right.

Man the media hates us so much!

whatever. I just watched two seasons of this. Time to take the blinders off. The dude absolutely SUCKED in the playoffs. And I can't stand to watch him play defense. There is some kind of weird vibe on this forum where we aren't supposed to criticize Harden or Bev. I think it started because the LOFS were criticizing Harden n Bev just to make Lin look better.

But Lin is gone now. So that's over.

I was stoked about getting a third star, but now.... Now that this is the team. I'm really focusing on James Harden. And he only plays half the game. You look at any of the championship teams. Lebron James, tim Duncan, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Garnett, Dwyane wade, michael Jordan... they all play at a high level both ways.

And I'll be honest. I'm irritate with the way this whole offseason went. Houston basically developed a pretty bad reputation around the league as being some arrogant, heartless organization that treats its players terribly, as pieces.

What does James Harden do? He pretty much sums all that up and certifies it as true in one breath. And it wasn't the 'role player' comment that was so horrible. It was the 'pieces' comment.

A team is more than pieces. Its about unity. Its about people. Not objectified 'pieces'.

When did "Role Player" become a 4 letter word?

Maybe some of you might consider finding another team, since this one disgusts you so much.

    Harden had over 21 per

    While parsons was 16.6 per

    Harden was also 22

    Parsons was 25

The talent level isn't close, parsons won't ever sniff 3rd team all nba let alone 1st. Hardens a legit franchise player with hof potential. Parsons is now an overrated/overpaid player just like many before him (reshard Lewis, hedo Turk, Richard Jefferson)

At the end of the day harden is either going to lead us one way or the other and parsons on the team or not is ultimately irrelevant. This is hardens team for the next 10 years. His talent is their we just need better focus, commitment and discipline.

Parsons talent on the other hand is not their. I just want to ask u guys this? If parsons was traded to say the 76rs could he lead them to the playoffs yr one? Cause that's what harden did his first yr at 23 in the west.

Not sure if this is posted, but this Hoops blog gets it right (even moreso after Parsons' weak emo subtweet and his family's tweets.

Goodness gracious. The Rockets had a very friendly locker room environment. People are acting like this is a situation where the players don't already know what kind of person Harden is. A bad choice of words isn't going to tear about a locker room.

And players will go where the money is. Bosh would be here right now if the Heat hadn't offered him a max deal. And that is with the other teams like the Lakers throwing the same money at him that the Rockets were.
